These springs are great my original ps5 L2 button on my controller decided to give out on me when I was playing god of war ragnorok meaning Kratos would just randomly attack on the slightest touch of the button. Ruined the gameplay experience.However, the springs resolved this instantly and the controller felt good as new.I would recommend watching a video on how to open up a controller before had not straight forward and you need some sort of plastic tool to pry the controller open. something like a guitar pick would work.Installing the spring isn’t easy and takes a dexterous hand to do so in some ways smaller nimbler fingers are perfect whilst individuals with sausage fingers like myself will struggle. All in all this saved me £40-£60 as I didn’t need to buy a new controller.

My game consoles are my most prized possessions. After 6 months of playing on my PS5, the trigger button became so loose it was unusuable (thanks Maneater!) Apparently one of the first batches of controllers had very flimsy springs. I was really annoyed that such an expensive controller had such a short shelf life when my PS4 controllers were battered for years without failing so badly.The internet told me I could replace the springs myself. I was weary about doing this. The only thing I have ever trusted myself to do is clean my consoles, not mess with their inner workings.I bought these springs and some tools (you need a T8 screwdriver to open up the casing of the controller. I decided to go for it, the controller was broken anyway and would either need replacing or sending off for a lengthy repair.I followed videos online which made the process really simple. The springs are a little fiddly to get into place but once you do it the trigger is like brand new again. It was easy to put it all back together again as well.The springs are really cheap and prolong the life of your controllers. If I can fix a trigger then anybody else can. I have a load more spare for my other controllers if the same thing happens.

After noticing the R2 trigger was a lot softer and shooting by itself randomly in Uncharted, I took the Dualsense apart and the spring was broke in half.The new spring was very easy to fit and it’s working perfectly now, and saved me £54 on a new controller.
