You never know what you're going to get when you order an unfamiliar brand on Amazon. That was the case with this wireless microphone set by Maono. Long story short, this was an extremely pleasant surprise. Everything about this set feels high quality. The best electronics start by being aesthetically pleasing and that's definitely the case here. The devices look great--particularly the case which by itself has even received a couple of comments by friends that saw it on my desk. It's an extremely functional way to protect and charge the individual components of this set and looking great is just a bonus. I got this set in hopes that I could use it to record video courses, as well as for less demanding work like vlogging. It has the perfect balance of technical excellence and ease of use. Setup was a breeze, the two microphone transmitters connected to the receiver almost instantly and it held a charge well in about 90 minutes of testing. The product listing indicated that it holds a charge for 20 hours and nothing in this experience suggests that isn't the case. I tried it with a variety of devices--a video camera, my phone, and a DSLR camera. It worked great with all of them and the manufacturer included different connectors for both use cases. I didn't include an adapter cable for an iPhone--not an issue for me but something that probably should be addressed. Then again, most iPhone content creators would likely have the necessary cables/connectors on hand. Obviously, the big test of a product like this comes over the 'long haul' as it is used for different types of content in different settings. In my tests it sounded great. The transmitters can be used as a clip on mic or as a belt pack for a lavalier or headset microphone. A pair of lavalier mics are included. I just used the transmitters as a clip on and it did a great job picking up my voice at various levels. It comes with a pair of fur wind screens--I've yet to test it in windy conditions but it sounded great both indoors and out. It even has a little bag for your cables and accessories. The documentation that comes with it is a little sparse. That said, it explains the process of set up and pairing just fine. I'd have liked a more in-depth users manual but the documentation that is there does the job and in a variety of languages. Overall, this is a great wireless microphone set that I'm planning to get a lot of use out of. I'm looking forward to trying it for different types of content but I'm confident it'll work great. Maono is now a name that I'll be keeping an eye out for in the future. First rate product.

Gracias.

I started having some difficulty with my lavalier mic a couple of weeks ago so I ordered these. In the few days it took for these to arrive, I fixed the problem with the old one. So, I will now use the old one for backup since these are better quality. First, I like that there are 2 mics included with this set. I can now conduct an interview or have a conversation without a lot of inconveniences. I really like the case which doubles as a charger so that everything charges at once. The only improvement would be a compartment in the hard case for the mics and cords so everything can be stored together. That is a bit of an obsession for me because I tend to misplace and lose parts that must be stored in different places or cases. However, there is an included cloth drawstring carry bag that is large enough to hold everything. When they arrived, I put them on the charger overnight. They were ready to go in the morning, but it meant that I did not see how long they took to charge. They were easy to set up, but the instructions consisted only of diagrams that were a little difficult to follow (but not too bad). They come with the receiver, 2 transmitters, 2 lapel mics with cables, 2 dead cat windscreens, 2 types of cable for connecting the transmitter to the camera/phone, etc., and a case/charger with USB A to C cable. It does not include a cable for an iPhone, but that is not an issue for me. I gave these a quick test in my basement studio and I really like the sound quality. They sound much better than my old mic which I was happy with. I made three quick test videos: one with each mic individually and one with them together. I used them with my Canon 6D MKII. There were no compatibility problems. The receiver is easily attached to the hot shoe mount with a clip rather than a screw. That was very convenient. I tested the transmitters with and without the included lapel mics. Both produced very good audio. The real test will come this week when I shoot a couple of videos. It will also come over the long-term as I find out how well they hold up to use. But I’m not expecting problems. Because of the case, they will also be easy to take on the road. I was also surprised at how light they are. They are much smaller and lighter than my old one which makes them easy to pack and carry. The manufacturer claims they have 20-hour battery life. Hopefully, that is the case. The one problem with built-in batteries is that you can’t change them once they die. You have to charge them. There are less expensive products sold on Amazon, including my old mic, but they may not be as nice. There are also more expensive products that might be even better. But this is an upgrade for me and I am quite pleased with using it for my videos.

This mic sounds great! It charges relatively quickly, and the battery lasts long enough for my kiddo to do her podcast (and more) it's easy to attach to your clothes and doesn't fall off with a bunch of movement. Definitely worth getting if you're looking for a portable wireless mic

What we like: - Rechargeable/Sealed battery Over 3 or 4 days of usage, I'm averaging 8-10hrs with almost constant usage, and the units appear to still be running strong for the duration of the day - Case acts as a charging station Once the case is charged, it acts as a mobile charging point for the 2x mics and receiver, with enough of a charge to make it easily through a couple of days or so of average recording without worry of finding a place to plug in every few hours - Mic audio is solid Without using an EQ, the mic audio is clear, but very tone neutral, so using even a simple software EQ (or hardware EQ with the 3.5mm jack) helps immensely with the "tone" of the audio. That said, there is enough signal across the frequency range to actually be useful, so with a bit of experience/adjustment via EQ, these mics can just about stand their ground against much more expensive mics - Light weight/non-obtrusive tether/lead The wired "remote" mic is small and light enough to not be a comfort issue, and sits well in a lot of positions - Usable with PC/Laptop as well as mobile Comes with cables for both Phone and Camera 3.5mm connections, but NOT a Lightning Cable (iPhone) What we don't like: - Battery is non-replaceable While the sealed unit rechargeable battery is nice, it is Lithium-Ion, and will eventually need to be replaced (even if it's years from now) - Receiver volume adjustments are in roughly 20% increments Having a more robust volume control would allow a user to better adjust levels dynamically without needing to adjust settings within the recording app/device, such as in the case of extended loud noises or unexpected audio peaks while your phone is over on the desk or you're doing a solo presentation Overall: This is a quality wireless mic system, and while there are cheaper options, you do tend to get what you pay for. Recommendation(s): Knowledge/Experience: Advanced Beginner/Intermediate Usage: Voice-Over/Podcast/Vocals These are at the higher-end of the price range for someone starting out with no real idea of what they want, but well priced for what you get if you're looking for a less expensive upgrade into higher-end components. If you have any experience with recording, you'll probably be able to do quite a lot with these in terms of recording, and if you're trying to learn, these appear to be a good platform to work from until you're ready to move over to higher-end components (which are at least 2x to 3x the cost of these)
