So, I actually ordered these by accident, but after I realized my mistake, I figured I would give them a try. I thought I bought crimp and seal connectors like I always use, but these are a low temp solder that melts with a standard heat gun. I used them last night on a replacement headlight connector in a Silverado and they worked like a charm. Cut the old connector off, installed the solder connection and the new pigtail, mate wires and slide the connector and hit it with a heat gun until the solder melts. EASY. I had my doubts at first because I figured the connector would melt before the solder made a real connection, but they worked like a charm. The connector shrunk nicely around the wire and the colored sealant melted into place and spread out and shortly after, the solder flowed into the wires. pretty slick to be honest. the joint set up and seems to be watertight and a solid connection. good value and I'll be using these more often for sure. They seem to be well made and look like the connection will hold up.

I like them, the heat shrink is tough. The solder doesnt flow very well without an added flux.Add flux to the wire before aliding the splice over.

I’M IN LOVE! these are amazing! Who ever designed and engineered these suckers deserves the best because these are a time killer!! They have made my time so much easier and I can wire way better now without stressing and struggling and why? Get a heat gun or a lighter and BOOM! Your ready to go and the fact there’s a ring solder inside is insane that’s why is rather spend money on these suckers but wish they added a glue adhesive inside and I know there will or has to be one but my review is 10/10

These are really cool. I used to crimp and then heat, not with these. I had to take a second take at the directions NO Crimping required.I bought these buy mistake thinking they were crimp Ons, but I was wrong, and these are easier to use and then seem to fuse to the wires. I look forward to using all of these in the kit.

I bought the item worked when I melted it... the plastic made it tight/waterproof, but then the sodering part did not melt and the wires were connected, but then eventually disconnected, so I returned the case as it somewhat worked, but somewhat didn't its not a great item... 1 of the 4 units I used worked...
