Use cotton rather than polly webbing on your straps
Across all the bags I've made, cotton webbing does a MUCH better job of not fraying loose from the stitches than poly webbing. It's also softer, and everybody seems to like it.The last picture is when I made the mistake of using polly webbing on a bag. It let me down in a spectacular manner 1,500 miles into a 2,000 mile trip. I ripped the stitches and re-attached the straps using cotton webbing!
