They work
My refrigerator doesn’t have a open door alarm and the doors aren’t self closing so I put one on and it works great.

Not ideal for upright freezer
Perhaps it is just me, but the images on the button are very difficult to see the imprint to distinguish what they are. I had to refer to the button position in the instructions to identify them.I purchased this because periodically the door on our upright freeze does not close tightly-- meaning that the door closes but there is a slight gap of perhaps less that 1/2 inch allowing warm air enter and the items in the front to begin thawing. This appeared to be an item that would alert me if the door. The problem is that this is not a 'Contact' sensor but uses a magnet which only has to be in close proximity to turn off the alarm. That is all fine I thought, I can just position the sensor a little further away. NOPE- The instructions indicate that the sensor and the magnet should be within 10mm which is fine but in my testing the the distance from the sensor to turn off the alarm varied greatly . Sometimes it had to almost be touching, other times it would turn off at about 1.5 inches away. WAY TOO much variation for my freezer door requirements. For a Door opening Alarm or Entry alarm it would be fine but that is not the purpose of my purchase. If all you need is a chime when a door opens or as an 'intruder' alert or if you need an alert if a door is left wide open then this would likely work well for you but as an alarm to make sure a door is shut tight... it is a no go.

Great for letting you know when the fridge is cracked
They work great. A bit too loud, but nothing some duct tape over the speaker can't solve.

Pretty useless
Will not detect if the door is cracked open, only alarms when the door is far open.

Ear piercingly loud, doesn't stick well to non smooth refridgerator.
Couldn't get it to turn off no matter what button I pushed. Seems the gap between my refrigerator door might be too much. Painfully loud, way louder than a smoke alarm.

Perfect for our store
We have an unstaffed kombucha taproom in Vancouver WA and these are perfect for our sliding door commercial fridges, which are supposed to be self closing but get stuck, even with lubricant on the tracks. Adjustable time (we have them set to the default 15 secs) and a gentle beep lets people know if they haven't closed the door, which gets louder each time. A red light flashes when the door opens so it's very easy to set up and know the spacing. Just what we needed. Hoping the battery lasts a while.
