Taurus G3: Absolutely Great Fit
I don't normally write a review, but as I know how difficult it can be to find a well-fitting and secure holster for the Taurus G3 I thought I'd take a moment to talk about it.First, the fit with the gun itself: it fits perfectly. The locking mechanism clicks in securely the moment the gun is inserted; when drawing, a simply press of the side button allows for quick draw and immediate placement of the trigger finger into the optimum "sweet spot" forward of the trigger guard for perfect trigger discipline.Second, the securement of the holster in the belt itself: also perfect. The paddle locks around your belt or inside the waistband firmly, holding the holster in place without movement of any kind. While it is easy to slide the holster into a position most comfortable for the wearer, once in place it does not move. This provides for a greater level of confidence while wearing and practicing drawing from the hip repetitively. The holster is right where you put it and will be there every time whether drawing or holstering your weapon.Thirdly, the adjustable cant. This holster allows for 360 degree rotation around the paddle; this allows for infinite cant adjustment for you to find your perfect position. For me, 0 degree is perfect for carrying on my hip but for others this may not be optimum. This also allows for changing position to strong-side 4 o'clock carry with forward cant for a more natural draw, or even using as a cross-draw holster with an appropriate reverse cant. The versatility of this holster cannot be overstated. Well, perhaps it can be, and I have probably done so. However, at this price point, it is very unusual to find such a versatile and functional holster. The only thing unknown for now is longevity.Keep in mind that other pieces are available to increase this holster's usefulness. Different belt clips, loops and even a drop leg platform are all available to be used with this holster. This holster really fits the bill for a lot of different situations.I realize that this review is extremely long; I only hope that it helps someone who is on the fence about their decision. You will not regret it!

Taurus TX Compact with Red Dot Optic holster
I ordered this holster for a Taurus TX Compact with a Red Dot Optic. The pistol fits into the holster like a glove and is secured by the locking device that clicks on the trigger guard. The holster is very reasonably priced and is of better quality of some of my more expensive holsters. Very pleased with the purchase.

Great holster so far
My EDC used to ride in a Fobus level 1 retention holster which relies solely on friction to retain your handgun. It worked great but having owned it and the the gun for almost 18 years the friction has really scrubbed the matte stainless finish to an almost chrome looking shine (especially near the muzzle end of the slide) in places it has scrubbed off some of the laser etching of the model no. I purchased a new EDC handgun and did not want it to end up looking like my previous one so I started looking for a level 2 retention holster that has a mechanical release or button. This holster is really nice, gun drops right in with a distinctive "click" requiring no effort to re holster. The holster fits my G2c perfect, not snug, just perfect. Drawing the weapon is very easy as my index finger is laying right on the release button when grabbing the gun. I purchased this holster rather quickly not caring too much for the oversized release button but that was not a deal breaker for me. The button itself could use a protective ridge around it to prevent things snagging under the edge of the button. This is a great range holster and not too bad for conceal carry. It sits out a little further from my waist than my previous holster and is a little more difficult to conceal. I'm a big guy so it's not too bad but for you lightweight, 6 pack ab kinda guys you have to have thicker over shirt or jacket to conceal well. On Cytac's website they have a thumb release button model and it states that it sits closer to the body for better concealment. I could not find one from this seller or anywhere on amazon. The one I did find has the name brand blacked out with photoshop but they forgot to edit one pic and you can clearly see the letters "tac" and it appears to be in the same font as this Cytac holster. So I ordered one of them as well, I hope this new one is also a Cytac because they appear to be very well made holsters.

GX2 will work with some modification
This is a descent holster for the money, but be prepared to do a modification if you plan on trying to use it on a Taurus GX2. It will work on the GX2, but you'll have to use a heat gun to soften up the holster to get it to expand. The holster is a little narrow for the GX2. I heated up the holster with my Warner heat gun, set the temperature to 650 and I used the flared nozzle. Keep it moving on both sides and the sight channel. With it heated up I used a shop rag single layered around the front of the UNLOADED/EMPTY GX2 and forced it into the holster. Let it cool, then pull the GX2 out with the shop rag, it should be loose enough to use with the GX2
