Riedel Veloce Cabernet/Merlot

Super fancy machine made glasses masquerading as hand blown. These are very light, delicate and thin glasses. Almost like knock off zaltos (only 10g heavier). Don’t listen to other reviews, these glasses are intentionally fancy, modeled after hand made glasses but half the cost. If that’s what you are in the market for, get these. If you want something sturdier and heavier, they are not for you. These will be my go to when wanting something fancier than my schott zweisel but not zaltos.

For a sophisticated wine experience, this beautiful set of wine glasses is ideal for Cabernet Sauvignon, however, handle with care while washing, as the glass and stem are exceptionally thin.

These glasses are simply too fragile. The stem is so thin that just swirling the wine flexes them. My wife, who is a very gentle person, had the stem break in her hand while drying one. I had the bowl completely shatter in my hand while drying the other. I would go so far as to say that they are dangerous!

These glasses feel very top heavy with wine in them. Be careful how you hold them they tend to turn to the side. Stem is extremely thin. I much prefer my other Riedel glasses. These are very this, lightweight glasses that almost feel like plastic.

I don’t know if this is at fault of the qualify or Amazon. But we received these wine glasses BROKEN. I could hear the shattered glass in the box. I attempted to undo the bubble wrap and was CUT by glass! My hand hasn’t stopped bleeding for over an hour. What poor qualify and safety hazard. So disappointed in Amazon and their providers.

Beautiful wine glasses, however the stem is ridiculously thin. I need something a little sturdier so I returned before the inevitable breakage.

These glasses arrived in a box with no padding and because of this one glass was broken. The Reidel box was in a larger box and moved around in shipping. Poor shipping caused a great glass to be useless. If packed properly by Amazon these glasses are great for enjoying wine.
