Excellent for party decoration. It's not meant to be flown daily from a flagpole (or pirate ship).

The flag was made of good quality material, Its not the material they use to make any country/state flag but for the price you definitely get what you paid for and more. The measurements where spot on and the picture was what I ordered. I live by the river so I got this flag to hang in front of my Pirate themed guest house and people love it! I get compliments all the time about how much it matches all my decor with the house and gives it the feel like there in the "good ole pirate days". You can literally see this flag flying from the river so now boats pass by and scream AHOY MATIE!! HAHA. I love the flag and I'm very happy with my purchase! I have owned the flag now for little over a year and its still Flying high with no rips or tears or fading in color! I would recommend anyone in buying this flag!Thank you!

We moved to a house in a rural area with no homeowner's association. The house has a flag pole. According to the law of men, this means we are required to fly a pirate flag 24/7. At least that's what my teenage boys decided. We put the flag up May 1st and never took it down. It flew through sun, wind, rain, kraken attacks, pterodactyl poop etc day and night. After almost three months some small tears began to appear on the outermost edges. Now after five months it is frayed and torn all the way across the outer edge.It looks awesome.This flag was a dollar plus shipping and it lasted way longer than I expected. If you want a flag to last for years, you're going to have to pay a whole lot more. If we go through two a year, that's under ten bucks for a whole lot of awesome.

The flag looks just like the one raised in the climactic battle scene in PoTC At Worlds End, which is really cool for Halloween, or just for fun. I would say the flag is sturdy enough to handle the wind in most areas despite being made of a rather thin material. However, after a winter of constant beatings from 30-40+ mph winds, it has frayed at the corners & is tearing around the upper grommet. I would not recommend leaving the flag on a pole during a major storm, unless you want the ghost ship tattered look.

At one time people must have been getting an alternate version of this flag. I was weary, but decided to take a risk. I am glad I did because it was as advertised in the picture. So as of mid-January 2016 the proper flag is shipping. You're welcome...The quality is decent. It's not super thick, i.e., you can see through it if you hold it up to the light, but also it doesn't feel cheap. The eyelets appear thick and well sewn. There is a hem around the edges of the flag border with two stiches.It was folded up pretty small as expected, so there are 30 squares that show. I will either iron it (doubtful) or throw it in the dryer (most likely).It looks awesome hanging in the living room. I can't wait for my wife to come home and see it. And then tell me to move it downstairs or something. It was a great buy in my opinion.

Perfect for my girls bday party!

Ok I be reviewing this as a 5 shilling flag not a fancy 20 pound flag so yea be warned. For what it be it be a very nice bit of flag, with a fairly accurate Calico Jack Rackham copy which makes me old bones happy. But it also be having it's doldrums as well, it a stiff gale o' rain the polyester be mighty easy to get wrapped up and stick yea mizzenmast or flagpole and get all bunched up. Also it be thinner than an old pirates patience to the point that it be verging on silk. But be things as they may it is a very nice bit of kit for a 5'er and well worth your trouble if ye be needing to fly the Jolly Roger!
