Do I need to purchase anything else for this to work with my 1/2 open face helmet?

Yes you will, unless you want to pretty much take apart your full face to take the magnetic mount off. (Disconnect the mic and speakers) This kit only includes the boom and the back of the mount that sticks to your helmet. I’m not looking for the mount to permanently leave on my 1/2 - which I wear 99% of the time. UGH!!
