Can confirm, it works
Purchased this in 2018 with an expiry date of 2022, it's been sat in my car 2 years over its expiry date so today I disposed of it and decided to see if it works prior to buying another, can confirm even nearly 7 years on and well past its expiry date, it still did the job (granted, I gave it a good shake every now and again to keep the powder loose over the years)

I had to use it (and it worked!)
Normally you buy these and keep them until they expire and then have to replace. But I used my one today. I purchased it from Amazon in 2016 and it’s sat in my car ever since. Today I spotted a fire in a grass verge as I was driving. I pulled over and a small group of passers by were trying in vain to put the fire out with water from water bottles. The fire was spreading, so I grabbed this extinguisher from the car, ripped the tag, and let rip. The powder worked really well at putting the flames out. What happened next was interesting though. Most people dispersed, but I could still see glowing embers. As I was thinking of leaving the fire starting taking hold again. I was about to call the fire brigade but someone was well ahead of me and I heard a fire engine approaching. They arrived and doused the fire in water. Even after the extinguisher powder and the water there were still glowing embers, which just goes to show.In summary, I’m glad the experts showed up. But this helped stop the fire spreading long enough for them to arrive. I’m really just here to buy again, and hopefully I won’t have to use the next one!

Small and fits into glove compartment
This is handy as is not too bulky and can fit into glove compartment or side door panel if big enough

Fits into car side pocket
Slim enough to keep at hand inside car.Hope I never have to use it, so can't rate it!Would only be suitable for very minor incident, but caught in time it could save the car.

every car should have one!!!
Better safe than sorry, but also, useful if ever need to stop & help anyone else. Every car should carry at least one of these, or maybe even supplied with one when purchased new or even 2nd hand. Anyway, hopefully won't need this for my own car but it's peace of mind knowing it's there. Product was delivered quickly & easily, in a box that had room for more things but was 100% recyclable, so no issues regarding waste. Item shrink wrapped so minimal plastic. Sturdy, looks reliable & easy to use. Time will tell. Best of all, ordered in July 2023, manufactured date is July 2023 - and expires in 2027. Awesome value/reassurance. Get one!

It should be the law to carry 1 of these in ALL vehicles.
I first thought to buy an extinguisher a few months back, after seeing a car on the side of a road catch fire. Then again just a couple of weeks ago, while on the motorway another 2 drivers directly in front of me had a collision (fortunately without any injuries), which set fire to 1 of the car’s engines. It started out as a small fire which could have been easily put out with 1 of these extinguishers. Unfortunately, as nobody had an extinguisher we had to wait on the fire engines to arrive. By that time the whole car had completely gone up in flames and had caused hours of delays in traffic build up. I wouldn’t even like to think how much the total loss of money would have cost (in terms of the car, traffic build up, and emergency services). All for something which could have been very easily self managed from the start.I think all vehicles should be made to carry an extinguisher for this very reason. For the sake of about £15, this has the potential to save so much time, money and lives.I now have 2 of these extinguishers in my car, incase of a self emergency, or incase I ever need to help another driver. I suppose I could also use these as an emergency back up incase of a house fire. I have a fire blanket in my kitchen, but should that ever fail to put out a manageable fire, then I could always go and grab these from the car.
