Yes, as long as your "Old" jugs used the normal Maxtra filters. I have used them in my jugs that are 4/5 years old.

How long does one filter last before changing

Hi, the capacity of a BRITA filter cartridge varies depending on the composition of the water being filtered and the amount of water filtered. The guideline of 4 weeks (one month) is based on average use in an area of average water hardness. In areas with very hard water it is usually the hardness in the water which exhausts the cartridge more quickly. Filtering more water will also have an effect on the life of the cartridge. BRITA estimate that each cartridge should have an active life of about 100 litres water filtration per cartridge. Kind regards, BRITACare

Cartridge replacement: 4 weeks / 100 litres using hard water (12 to 14.5° EH / degree of English Clark hardness) - I had to look it up on the Web - :) - UK Tea Academy recommends them as Best Ever

Are these original Brita maxtra cartridges?

Yes they certainly appear to be. Box etc all authentic and the cartridges work fine.
