Are these completely metal? Just had a gorilla stand with the plastic leg housing and adjustment part snapped. i don't want to buy the same again .

No, the leg mounting collar and upper pole clamp are plastic, the rest is metal. I've done about a dozen gigs now with mine and have no complaints. I was using a pair of 30kg Mackies and did find I had to tighten the clamps more than I would have liked. I've switched to JBL 515xts which are about 19kg and a gift for these stands. So I expect the question is how heavy are your speakers. The bag that comes with is another matter, it's already the worse for wear, but at this price the stands are...well..outstanding :)
