Bahco SL25 25 Piece 1/4" Drive Socket Set (SL25)

My work often involves climbing ladders up chimney stacks, so I need high quality and compact form factor to reduce the weight and size of my tool case. This set is exactly what I need for this specific task. I've owned many Bacho tools before so I knew I didn't need to worry about the quality. Looking at the product pictures though I was initially concerned about the case, I've experienced other brands with similar cases that would suffer from failed latches and flimsy lids. However once I received this set and checked out the case I was reassured that this won't be an issue down the line and looks extremely useful. The ratchet has a great feel and perfect engagement with a strong feel to the switch. The sockets lock in well and feel sturdy. The bits latch into the bit socket perfectly and I have great confidence in using these at height knowing they won't fall out. This has been designed with ease of use at mind, the sockets sit firmly inside. The only one negative I can see is that the shadow foam does not have a notch for the the drive shaft of the ratchet. I will just flip the ratchet upside down, so is not an issue. Amazing value for money, highly reccomend!

I had the Draper version of a pocket socket set. Unfortunately I dropped the socket ratchet in to a customers vehicles engine bay and I could not find it. Deciding to try another brand and the Barco being heavily reduced, I opted for the Barco. Whilst the overall set has no real significant difference in weight the Barco set, especially the socket ratchet, which feels more sturdy and has a little more length to the ratchet handle which makes difference having the extra leverage for tough bolts. Also the extension is a lot longer than the one in the Draper set. The downside is the case. The hard plastic case of the Draper set was much easier to use especially the torx, hex and screwdriver bits. With the Barco set they are in foam sleeves, which are fiddley to remove and if not really careful the whole sleeve comes out when trying extract the one bit. I am sure it will not be long before I lose them. Also the ratchet does not sit in the box very well. However I must say even with the box being much inferior to the Draper box, the actually Barco tools are much better than the Draper. It is a nice little set that is really handy to be able to carry on my cargo trouser pocket for work, meaning I do not have to carry a full toolbox.

When this arrive it was smaller than I was expecting it to be, however it seems to be of a good quality and design.

Had this socket set for 8 years now and it is still going strong. Has been really handy and saved me loads of time (and hassle). The included sockets don't go that big but for most jobs it's fine. The 'T' attachments came in handy for removing my car headlight assembly. I have also used this in conjunction with screwdriver and allen key bits which increases its versatility. It's a solid piece of kit which has stood up to loads of use.

If you need a small socket in a tight space, this is probably as good as it gets. The biggest socket is 13mm, so you won't be using this set on 'normal' jobs on the car etc. This set is small enough to carry somewhere on a motorbike, if you have the space for it. Push button to attach the sockets is secure in use and they won't fit UNLESS you push the button. Some people think they don't fit at all due to the push button fixing and expect the sockets to just push on, but this is normal in their bigger sets as well. A well made set overall and really a small version of their bigger sets, so the quality is very good I find. I highly recommend this set if you need small sockets (up to 13mm) for a restricted working space, or don't need the leverage of their bigger sets. Don't be fooled by the picture and the price though, this is a good SMALL sized set, NOT a full size one. Some people see the picture, see the price and assume it is a full sized set, it isn't as the drive size is only 1/4" not 3/8" or 1/2". Update: Recently used this set to mount a 55" TV on the wall of a friends house. The socket set proved ideal for not only putting the wall bracket together, but also for setting the forward leaning viewing angle plus horizontal level of the TV, thanks too the small size of the tool and the restricted space behind the TV and inside the wall bracket. A bigger socket tool like the 3/8" version would have struggled to do the same job as easily.

Great kit! I bought this to take to the motocross track to work on our dirt bikes! Very nice quality and works well. I would buy the kit again.

Per ora l'ho utilizzato ancora poco, ma il sembra globalmente fatto bene con buoni materiali. La chiave a cricchetto non ha giochi indesiderati che ne riducono l'efficacia. Va aggiunto però che esistono chiavi da 1/4" con una maggiore densità dei denti, che si traduce in un minore angolo di rotazione per lavorare. Tempo fa avevo acquistato un altro set simile (pochissimo meno costoso, di altra marca, sempre qui su Amazon) e lo avevo restituito a causa della scarsa precisione fra gli attacchi da 1/4" delle bussole / prolunga / chiave. In questo set non ho rilevato assolutamente di questi difetti. Segnalo che la prolunga da 1/4" ha la testa con una funzione interessante: se inserite la bussola fino a battuta, questa si blocca perfettamente in asse con la prolunga. Se invece inserite la bussola qualche mm in meno, questa riesce a ruotare rispetto all'asse della prolunga, consentendo l'azione anche fuori asse. Talvolta può essere molto utile.

Good little 1/4" socket set. Saves getting my big set of sockets out for the small jobs around work.

Very handy for assembling boxed furniture. Good product that’s been around for awhile
