INKBIRD IBT-2X Bluetooth Cooking Thermometer Wireless Barbecue BBQ Grill Monitor Steel Probe Temperature Alarm Portable Android & iOs for Oven Meat Smoker

I got a new Inkbird unit - the IBT-2X to play around with in the house - just this mall 2 probe blue tooth connected version. Boy its so handy. We have times where it's too wet or windy to be outside to fire up one of the weber's so I have to resort to my Halogen oven which I love too. Before I got the weber's this was our always to be used gadget. Anyway here is a review about it.Bluetooth seems to have a good range and I tested to around 130ft and still had connection. connection via the Inkbird free BBQ GO app with 2 probes and operated by 2 AAA batteries. What is nice is that you can see both probe temp on the same screen on the phone so at a glance you can see what is going on compared to a 4 probe unit that you cant see all 4 at a time. The unit can also be used on it's own as it alternates between the two probes and flashes the readings on it's screen. If you set the BBQ Go app on your phone then the alarms also sound on the unit so quite handy like than too. Nice and compact little unit. I have used it a few times now and even used it outside the other day in a gale... Tested in a kettle of boiling water and found was 1 Deg C under - but that is quite acceptable.It has loads of pre-set settings for barbecue foods for different options plus other pre-sets and you can add extra customized settings too. It also has a timer and temperature alarms. It has a graph facility if you need to see the whole cook info. Very very simple to use.All in all this is a lovely small compact good value for money unit

I bought this unit as a backup/spare as an alternative to my other inkbird thermometer. Yet again I was not disappointed with the quality of the product and the ease of use. This unit comes with 2 probes, one to monitor the grill/oven temperature using the supplied clip to attach it to a rack. The second probe is to monitor the internal temperature of the meat to ensure it is cooked to perfection. Alternatively the other option is to place both probes into two different pieces of meat. The unit itself, which is powered by 2 AAA batteries, will alternate the temperatures of both probes on the screen. It can be linked up wirelessly to the phone app so you can also monitor the unit remotely. The app does work very well and allows different alarms to be set for different temperatures. The quoted wireless range is 50 metres, however I have not tested this fully but has no problem communicating when I am in the house and the bbq is outside in the garden. It comes neatly packaged so it can be stored safely away for future use. Overall I would say this is a fantastic piece of kit for the money and would definitely recommend it.

Wanted an accurate method of measuring my fan oven temperature as I suspected that it was running colder than the dial setting.This easy to use thermometer has done the trick. I placed one probe into the oven using the supplied rack clip and trailed the metal braided cable out the oven door and plugged it into the display box. The display is bright and easy to read; the app worked well on my Android phone and replicated the displayed temperature. The thermometer has confirmed my oven runs 20⁰C cold. To test the accuracy I baked a cake using the thermometer as the temp guide. Cake came out perfectly cooked.I have also tested it as a meat probe and it agrees precisely with my OXO Good Grips meat thermometer.Overall I am impressed with this device. It is accurate, easy to use, versatile and the app connectivity is a bonus. It does seem to bias cable storage over ease of positioning in its design - rubber feet would be useful to stop it sliding about so much but I can fit some with little bother.Highly recommended.

Great product at a great price. I own loads of wireless thermometers from various different companies. Inkbird are always just as accurate as all of those.I wanted a bluetooth version as I wanted to monitor the temperature over a period if time which I cant do with my wireless thermometers.I have just built a brand new UDS smoker and wanted to see how it maintained temperature over several hours (10-15h).Needless to say (judging by the star rating), this 2 probe thermometer allowed me to do just that at two different grate levels.Overall I am very happy with the thermometer, I have a very large town house with THICK brick walls so I couldn't relax in the living room (18metres and 3 walls away), so I left the tablet it was paired with in the kitchen.No disconnects, no battery issues and no problems with accuracy. I would recommend any and all Inkbird products that perform like they say they should.

Received this on Tuesday just in time to test it out on the BBQ while I roasted a chicken for tea.1st off, it was well packaged and arrived quickly from Amazon, on opening the box you can instantly tell that its well-made and robust. I downloaded the Android Apk for it from the Google Play store to my mobile phone and it connected via Bluetooth instantly, The Apk itself is well designed and very easy to navigate between the different sections. It has all you need to cook many different types of Meat on the BBQ without ending up with that Burnt on the outside, Raw in the middle scenario so familiar to many and me particularly. It will alert you when your desired temperature is reached and your meat is cooked to perfection. Taking away the worry completely. The chicken I cook I can honestly say it was perfect, moist and juicy probably the best chicken I have ever cookedThe Unit comes with 2 probes one to tell you the temperature of the oven/bbq and the other for the internal temperature of the meat you are cooking or you could use both probes for telling you the temperature of two different types of meat. They are easy to wipe clean with a damp cloth and I would suggest keeping them in one of those plastic reusable zip bags you can pick up from the supermarketsAll in All, I am extremely pleased with the unit and would definitely recommend.
