Great Mic for price!!!
Really good Mic comes with hard case perfect for keeping Mic stored safely. Comes with mic clip. Mic feels heavy and sound quality amazing, such good value compared to top end Microphones, which don't sound any different to me. I sing in a band with two other members with different high priced mics and mine doesn't sound any different at all.

great value for money
I bought this as a cheap alternative to an SM58 for live gigs in our local pub: its very stury (metal casing) and sounds great.

Good robust reliable Mic.
I purchased the Samson SAQ7 as a back up for my SM58 as it had good reviews and was good value. After using the mic i found that the response and clarity were nowhere near to my trusty sm58,The highs didnt really sound that great in comparison but hey,it only cost £28 against the sm58s £100 so not really a fair comparison as in with most things and definately musical gear/instruments etc you get what you pay for.Having said that I have used it for backing Vocals and the Samson performed well and overall sounded pretty good.Nowadays I use it predominately for Mic'ing up my Guitar to my Amp and this is where it excells in my opinion.it doesnt pick up to much bleed and with a bit of positioning to find the "Sweet spot" it does sound very good. Its not as great as the standard industry Shure SM57 but as i said earlier you get what you pay for..in conclusion-The Samson is a good solid, robust well made mic that is great for a back up,or if your on a budget/starting out I wouldnt hesitate in purchasing.Deano

superb mic
Superb Super cardioid mic.....The SM58 is still my mic of choice but as an audio engineer this is a wonderfully balanced mic....slightly less bass than the SM 58 but more hf response....its a slightly biased mic more toward the hf frequency...great for vocals and instrument mic'ing...and a slightly hotter output than the SM58This mic requires less tweaking out of the box to sound great, but the sm can be eq'd for a multitude of environments and is the main one on the riders list for artistsFor the money this is a superb mic ...well done samson

They sound good but beware of unwanted noise if you touch them.
I bought three of these at the same time to replace some SM58s that had gone missing after a gig. All three work identically as follows...Plus points...Great clear sound - Especially for female vocals.Good quality product with a good weight to it - They don't feel like they will fall apart in your hand.Look the part.Minus points...They have a bigger body than an SM58 (and most other) microphone so your existing clips won't fit. (I bought clips from CPC - Part number MP34450 and they fit perfectly). They can only really be used on good solid mic. stands that you won't be moving during the course of the performance as they are incredibly noisy with even a slight tap on the cable near the mic. or the mic. stand coming loudly through the P.A.

Deffinite 58 competitor/conteder
I wasn't expecting much from a £30 mic that I bought when I just needed something for vocals and the occasional V.o. I must say that it is a lot brighter compared to a SM58. It sounds a lot brighter and also makes the 58 sound slightly muddy and low end heavy. There is a slightly hotter output than an sm58. In conclusion, this would be great for a budget vocal mic that won't break the bank but will stand up to the rigours of live sound and possibly some studio or podcasting. My one gripe with this, not neccaserliy a major thing if used in a clip, is there is a slight handling noise. This may not be as apparent in a mix but is still there. Possibly could be removed with some light gating.Superb overall. Would recommend highly.

Great as a Shure alternative
We bought this mic to use for when others got up to join in on vocals as we'd had a couple of Shure mics damaged by happy but drunken crooners. Anyway, got to say that we've only used it once and it was excellent. I actually stopped it over for my Shure lead mic to see if there was any difference. Minimal. In fact, others in the band didn't notice I'd swooped them over.Comes in a chunky box, with mic clip.Nice one.

Shame but no good for groups maybe ok for single singer
I was expecting a very sensitive microphone but am afraid they were very us sensation to the point that hard key picked much up at all maplins £20 ones worked better
