Sorry but I haven't counted. The length of life in one battery charge obviously depends on how much printing you are doing and the quality and complexity of what is being printed. Compare a few words in draft on a sheet and a full page of text or colour 'best' printing which takes longer. In addition although the printer will switch off automatically after being left idle for a while, power is used until auto switch off. So if you print intermittently with lots of time in idle mode, it wont print as many sheets for one charge. It isnt designed for bulk printing. I tend to leave it plugged in to a power socket all the time except when a socket isnt available when travelling. I dont know what your requirements are and so cannot really give an opinion on the printing capacity per charge; if its many hundreds of sheets, probably a recharge would be needed, but maybe 200 or 300 would be OK. In order to recharge you only need a single cable into a three-pin socket so no bulky power pack is needed to carry with you. You may be able to buy an extra battery, but remember spare Lithium batteries cannot be put in your baggage if flying. Hope this helps.

If Im connected to a wifi network and then want to print to the printers network on a different IP address will thsi work seamlessly?

IP address or WiFi Networks? Every device on a network has its own unique IP address, this is how they are identified. So I assume you mean a different network, basically all printers and devices NEED to be on the same network to ‘talk’ to each other, however, with the HP setup, as with other printer manufacturers, it is possible to send work to a printer anywhere in the world by emailing it, the setup for this is really simple and works really well.

Not very long so i would suggest ordering some normal size ink too.

Is this compatible with a MacBook Air?

I'd imagine so. Have a look on the app store and see if the HP app is on there. I sometimes have to email my work from my laptop to my phone to print it. That's not the printer fault, it's my company's software that stops it. It's a very good printer. I've had mine for 3 years and I've not have on fault with it. On the app side, my wife also uses her phone to print documents off. Hope this helps.
