Perfect size that fits around those new cheap, thin Chinese LED recessed lights. When gaps in the ceiling holes from my old can lights couldn't be narrowed with plaster, I heard about goof rings. They are nice and thin, very easy to install and solved the gap problem. The color matches the plastic of the LED lights and blends quietly into a 1970s plaster ceiling. Saved me the aggravation and cost of replastering the ceiling.

They work great, block gaps in ceiling lights

We had some old, recessed lights changed out and some of the holes in the ceiling were slightly larger than the new lights. This left some gaps between the ceiling and the lights some of which were too large to patch. I searched for a product like this and was glad to find it. These rings fit nicely over my new lights and were large enough to cover all of the gaps. To look at the lights now you would never know that these rings were not part of the lights as they look great. So glad to find this product as it saved extra patching and painting. Would definitely recommend this product.

It works to hide poor workmanship. Needs some sort of adhesive for a tighter fit when light does not provide enough pressure for a flushed fit.

Using this to remedy contractor's original terrible installation where holes for ceiling cans cut too large. Contractor attempted to tape and spackle around lights and then caulked in original fixtures; totally wrong! I carefully removed all fixtures from ceiling cans and will reinstall with these trim rings rather than spending huge amount of time to repair (spackle and sand and spackle and sand) original cut-outs. These will provide quick and neat solution. Available in custom sizes on both inner and outer diameters so can select exactly what is needed for perfect size.

These work great for fitting lights into existing holes where the new lights are too small to cover up the opening.

Used these to help install 6" led lights outside under my eaves. With these rings I was able to attach my new lights right inside of the old mounting brackets. Made installation a breeze.
