Transformers: 5-Movie Collection

Five 4K movies for £10 each
I bought this for £50 from amazon, when you consider it has 5 4K movies in the set for £50 they work out to £10 per movie. Only downside? No bonus features, it seems the UK gets skimmped latley on bonus features in the 4K sets so if your looking for behind the scenes and all that you will not find them here (apart from number 5).T1Video Quality: 7/10Audio: 7/10Notes: A step up from the bluray, Not a big one though, HDR is so subtle sometimes its not noticeable.T2:Video Quality: 8/10Audio: 8/10Note: HDR Is more noticeable, Sharp clear picture, No IMAX scenes from the Big screen edition bluray.T3:Video Quality: 9/10Audio Quality: 8/10Note: HDR is very punchy, Razorsharp picture, Looks great. No IMAX Scenes.T4:Video Quality: 9/10Audio Quality: 10/10Note: HDR is on point here, Vibrant, punchy and gorgeous, Shot mainly digitally. No IMAX Scenes unlike the 3D bluray.T5:Video Quality: 10/10Audio Quality: 10/10Note: Reference quality HDR, IMAX scenes look phenominal, Definatley a demo disc to show off your setup.

All 5 films in separate cases!
I was disappointed with the Christopher Nolan 4K box set where all 7 films were stacked in a single case. But this one surprised me. All films were in separate Amaray cases, which is a delight for every collector! I feel every box set should be released this way.On the picture & sound performance, this is definitely an improvement over bluray.

The Complete Michael Bay Transformers Boxset.
Your be happy to know if you purchase the 4K & Blu-ray boxset of this you will get the Amazon display picture as shown. They are all in individual cases and have the book page style disc holder for each disc.I thought the price was fair as it’s about £10 each film and considering Transformers: Rise Of The Beasts won’t be out till 2023 it’s also not being directed by Michael Bay and seems it’s a prequel to the whole boxset.I’m glad they went for the individual cases for the UK version as it seems the USA version has the same picture on the boxset but instead of the separate Blu-ray Discs you get a digital code but the case is just a slim plastic type all packed into it & apparently not reliable plastic. It’s definitely one to add to the collection.

Bloody Bay!
After the initial smoke had settled and the first of many panning shots were done, the wonder of this franchise soon falls flat on its face.It is clear that if Michael Bay can blow it up, he will. What can I say from Megan Fox’s toe thumbs to Shia LaBeoufs ability to be the weediest “hero” the films don’t disappoint if you want over action and explosions galore!Plot lines that have no consistency between the films and something bigger and badder happening each time to the point where one film feels like it is just trying to outdo the next with no greater purpose. I was on the list of mega fans when I was a kid in the 80s and hearing of the franchise debut I have wide eyes and dreams of amazement. I now feel left crushed and broken that the only consistency and wonder was that they used Peter Cullen throughout the movies and he was great, all hail Optimus Prime.Transformers! Limp mode out….. (one for the mechanic geeks there)

Superb Entertainment, Unfairly Maligned
Spectacular. Every time Peter Cullen says 'I am Optimus Prime' I feel like a kid again. The stories may be chaotic but Michael Bay really knows how to stage action set pieces. I actually love some of the bizarre human characters in these movies, Anthony Hopkins in the Last Knight is nuts. Picture quality of the 4k set is amazing and Steve Jablonsky's brilliant scores have never sounded better. I really enjoyed Bumblebee but it was very different to the Bay movies. One criticism of the 4k set is that it omits the special features discs of the original Blu-Ray releases (apart from the last Knight) so if you have those you'll want to keep them.

Rubbish
This box set was bought for my autistic grandson, and when none of the discs would work, he went into a meltdown. Autistic children cannot cope with disappointment, and it took hours for him to calm down. Please be aware. Then the cheek of it, I am to be financially penalised, as they are to deduct the postage from the reimbursement. Why should I be penalised for someone sending out faulty goods and causing so much trauma

Action packed collection
I bought this collection after seeing Transformers 1 and 2 and seeing bits of 3. Transformers 1 is Autobots and Shia La Beouf and Megan Fox v Deceptacons, searching for Megatron; Transformers 2 is Autobots and Shia La Beouf and Megan Fox search for device to stop evil Prime; Transformers 3 is an ancient transformer is found and plans to complete his mission, with Shia La Beouf and Autobots and new girlfriend Rosie Huntington-Whiteley; Transformers 4 is almost a reboot, with Shia gone, and Mark Wahlberg helping the Autobots and dinobots to save the day; Transformers 5 is Transformers meets Da Vinci Code with Shia's character Sam part of a famous bloodline but Mark Wahlberg chosen to help the Autobots to save the day. Every film is action-packed and the Samurai transformer in 4 is cool, but I would I say I enjoyed 1-3 most with Sam and his family and the captured pet Deceptacons providing light relief, 4 was just different, and 5 was disappointing with the Arthurian mythology jarring with the Sci-Fi grand epic feel of the rest of the story, although Anthony Hopkins and Jim Carter were funny in parts. The best thing in the series is John Turturro the ex-CIA agent turned conspiracy theory/celebrity author. The Bonus Disc DVD extras were disappointing as you only really see the making of 5, which for me was the least enjoyable film, although it sounds like from the discussion with the director that they always planned to have Arthurian origins when they were making the others. I would have rather heard what they changed from the cartoons/toys etc. and how the story progressed in each film. The Underworld DVD collection is the best I have seen for marking the changes in each film.
