A friend of mine gave me her total gym fit. I used these on the bar to that they use to add weights to so I could use the barbel plates with the Olympic size holes. It worked out great and it also keeps the bar in place.

Very good material. Would seem to stand up to the 2” weights. Seems durable although just received it so it’s been lightly used. My bar is was 1-1/8” so I had to ream out the inside diameter. As the inside had ridges, it was easy to bore straight using a hole saw. The inset screw is soft metal so no need to over tighten. Had to install with a small rubber mallet so it was a very tight fit which is good. The inset screw is really not necessary in my case. Would recommend.
