While I was preparing for eye surgery last year, my post-surgical recovery instructions included no bending down and no lifting anything over 10lbs. My dog Frodo, a 26lb Corgi-mix, requires lifting up and down due to back issues frequent in the breed, so I bought this steps unit to get me through my recovery period. It has been the perfect solution! Frodo was quick to understand how to use the steps, although he trusted going up more than coming down, and it even works for my 13 lb Siamese cat, Samwise! Frodo has used the steps at least twice a day over the past year and they're still in good shape, so I rate them an excellent investment. (While the steps are reasonably steady, a frisky dog can cause wobbling, so I recommend using your hand to steady the unit when in use.) I also bought a second unit to keep in the car. The steps fold up and take very little room behind the front seat, even in my small Honda CR-V. The price is reasonable and the safety and convenience are sterling! I highly recommend this item for small to medium sized dogs and cats.

This was super easy to set up. Remove it from the box, gently pull the bottom of the support away from the bottom step until clicks into place at a 90° angle to the top step. Peel and stick the pre-cut carpet pieces to each tread and apply the peel-and-stick pieces to the bottom, to prevent the stairs from moving and protect your floors. My senior dog was not confident with the stairs for the first two days. I put a treat on each step a few times per day, whenever he showed hesitation or avoided the stairs. I also associated these plastic stairs with other stairs that the dog uses regularly with no issues, by placing these stairs nearby, and by placing treats on these new stairs and on stairs already familiar to the dog. By day three, my old dog was using these stairs confidently, and is much less at risk of injury than by his usual parkour techniques. I’ve tried several stairs, ramps, etc, and this is the first one that my stubborn dog will use properly. The only issue I have is that it is so lightweight that it moves sometimes when the dog (under 20 lb) is using it. I improvised a weight over the lowest crossbar on the support section, which helped, and I plan to find or make a sandbag-style weight to drape over that support bar. If the bottom step had a shelf or hook for optional weights, everything would look tidy, and it would still be easy to set up, hide away, or move to a different spot.

My pit is 50lbs and struggles to use this. It topples over on level floor unless I stabilize it for her, she does not feel comfortable at all using it. If I didn’t hold it she would fall right off the side once she shifts her weight. Would be great for very light dogs. I’m going to try zip tying to my bed frame like someone else suggested worked for their bigger pup! Other than that it was honestly better quality than I expected for the price.

Sturdy. Well built, easy to clean. My only complaint is the stairs pads come unstuck if left in a hot car for too long as they are strips of double tape holding them on. My dog used them to get into .you suv. Had no problems using them. I do have to step or block the bottom step to keep it from sliding as he goes up or down. But not a big deal v very happy with the steps. They do fold up and to unfold you just press the two lock buttons on the top..easy to use. Durable and saves my big little long dog back from jumping down or getting up. A game changer for us and him. He got every where now with us. He learned quick and feels secure using them. I even bought one for my roommates little dog to keep it's back safe too..Great value for the price. Be sure ck and go by weight limit and get the right size for you pet.

For all dog parents struggling with the “time for stairs” issue, please read: (PS/BTW I’m not a bot and this isn’t a paid or otherwise compensated review) I have a short long bodied dog and this gets her easily onto higher ground without the anxiety she’s had about jumping now that she’s a few years older. She’s a rescue and isn’t always ready to be picked up, so this has also relieved so much stress on my part, The best part of this product is that it’s not foam (she only wants to climb something solid like stairs) and that it’s not a couch/bed height wooden staircase that I stub my toe on or worse scrape my shin etc on the sharp edges. It fold easily if you want to transport it, and is very light— so can be functional for many rooms if you feel up to moving it. Just make sure you attach the stair pads before you try to have your pet climb the stairs— they are plastic and slippery and she wouldn’t climb up until I put the stair pads on. Obviously you also are going to need to give them a few treats to help them get used to climbing the stairs vs jumping or waiting for you to pick them up…. But I couldn’t believe how quickly she adjusted—- literally within 4-5 days she is naturally going both up ((and down! )) the stairs on her own with little or no prompts and no more treats needed— again this is a game changer :) Anyways, obviously recommend this product and hope it works as well for your fur baby as it has with mine!!

The item is just fine, but the Dragonfly delivery service is not. I am older with mobility issues and the young, fit, male driver baulked at having to carry the box to my door. Not sure how he thought I could. He kept repeating it was light. The time he spent holding the box and trying to get me to carry a box that was too wide for me to hold, he could have delivered it.

We have really high beds and a small dog who loves to be with his hoomans. So we bought these stairs so he could get up and down on his own. We and he absolutely loves them. They are lightweight yet sturdy, the perfect height, and easily foldable to be put out of the way. With the carpet like steps he is sure footed going up or down. We had looked at other styles but these are budget friendly. Highly recommend if your pet is able to do stairs.

Wir wollten die Treppe weil sie klappbar und leucht ist, damit wir sie auf Reisen mitnehmen können. Dafür ist sie perfekt. Höhe ist auch super. Schade nur, das die Treppe je nach Farbe unterschiedlich kostet. Haben die günstigere bestellt und in schwarz angespüht, da uns das Braun nicht gefallen hat wir aber nicht mehr Geld für die Graue bezahlen wollten. Und dann noch einen weichen Stoff auf die Stufen geklebt. Jetzt ist sie perfekt!
