When you start cocking, you need to close the valve by setting it to the appropriate cocking mode. Once you see the steam and the red sign in the indicator, you need to lower the temperature until the steam amount is very low.

Q: I removed the green piece on top of the lid by mistake while cleaning it,, is there any way to re-attach it ??? Thank you

The green weight is meant to come off for cleaning. Just line the dots up and it will fall into place. Turn slightly to lock and then turn to correct setting when using again.
