It fit and fixed the Tesla door handle issue.

Wasn't sure if it was the micro switch or the wiring that went bad on my door handle. Guessed it was this and it worked. Takes a good bit longer than an hour on a 2013 Tesla (drivers rear). Zip ties on wires have to be carefully cut, used a good plastic to metal grease on the parts. Door handle has to be adjusted such that it doesn't rub after remove and install. The adhesive on the water shield needs to be heated before it will stick again. The water shield is a bit brittle so have to be careful there as well. Plan for about 3 hours if going to fix it correctly.Hoping this wire will last for awhile - may remember to follow up in a year.

Nice kit. Wire is cheap, hard, pvc coated so it will break again eventually, but it’s nice to have the door work again. Was surprised to find that my handle had both issues this addresses. Wire was broken and the metal gear piece was cracked but hadn’t quite snapped in two. Rear door handles are kinda a pain to remove but I managed without messing with the glass.

for unknown reason the wire harness is not compatible with 2015 computer. door continues to extend and retract without any input. luckily i only needed the metal gear.

I had to return because for some reason my 2017 has gen 3 and this kit wouldn’t work. If you have gen 2 or 3 it is great. Have fun getting to the top back nut.

Kit Missing bushings which are supposed to be inside the gear otherwise the shaft that goes thru the gear is way way too loose. Everything else was there. I wound trying to use the old bushings which don’t fit. I had to modify them. It’s a lot of work.I would have given 5 stars if the gear had the correct ones in it as it’s supposed to have.
