Great for the home baker!
As someone who is wheat free, i have been baking my own breads for years. There are some baked goods however that I do miss and bagels is one of them. This item was easy to use and helped me make professional looking bagels. Follow the instructions to make perfect bagels. The only adjustment I made as other reviews suggested, was to take the bagels off the moulds before they were fully baked, this allows for a more even looking bake. Time according to your oven temp, experiment!

Good, but with a couple of considerations.
I've only tried these once so far but, I would agree with a previous reviewer that these are good for shaping and boiling your bagels, however shield the base and the centre of the bagel from baking properly. I didn't have any problems with them during boiling, but I'd already realised they last float and pinched the air out of the stem before dipping in the water. If you do bake with them, make sure you grease the stem otherwise the bagels stick a little. They also trap water between the stem and the bagel after boiling further keeping the centres under baked. I would recommend them simply for shaping and boiling, if not necessarily for baking. I need to experiment more maybe not using them for baking to see what difference it makes.

This product is perfect for the job the fact that they are not made of steel means the Bagel does not stick it withstands the heat required and no difficult cleaning is involved.

Made some quality bagels thanks to these. Great & easy to clean & really handy to get uniform bakes & sizes

Not 100% successful
They are good at moulding the bagel shape. You need to pierce the top of the cone so they do not float in the boiling water. On cooking the base was uncooked while the top was getting too brown. Will try separating bagel from mould in the water and baking them on a tray. Wish me luck

Quality product, nice packaging, great as a gift idea.
I first bought bagel pans from amazon, they are all way too small for bagels so had to return them. So glad I found this product though, it is pure quality, and perfect size. Came really nicely packaged too. From the pictures It does look like the bagel holes will be larger than the norm, but will have to try and see.

Good, but with a basic flaw a child could diagnose!
I bought these as a result of a favourable review in "The Guardian" - they work and are good for shaping the bagels and for poaching them EXCEPT for a basic design flaw that a child with a knowledge of diving bells could have predicted. When the moulds with the bagels are placed in the poaching water they float at all sorts of odd angles, because air gets trapped in the conical upright parts of the moulds. I have modified mine, using a hand operated hole punch, to allow the air to escape and the mould (and bagel) to sit securely on the bottom of the pan. These are good for holding the bagels in shape during the second rising (proving) stage, but I do not recommend cooking them on the moulds as suggested - it works far better if the poached bagels are tipped from the moulds onto a baking sheet before transfer to the oven. Silicone is too good an insulator to allow even cooking if the bagels are left on the moulds when transferred to the oven. Having said all this, I would buy them again, but please, Lekue, try actually using your products before putting them on the market! I should also point out that the first box I was sent was a mould short, and the replacement box had a faulty booklet, with recipes in a multitude of languages, none of them English.
