These pieces do function as S hooks of nice material. The product looked bigger in the photo and less flat than what we received and were looking for. Under a magnifying glass, one also sees a lot of surface variance of reflection as if not polished / refined. If you need something small and delicate, this may work fine.

Flat and more of a gold tone. It's probably better this way if you want to use it for bead necklaces.
