Nice sturdy little device which allows me to grade the mixed wood in my woodshed ready for burning. Can't fault it for the price.

bought this when we got the wood burner, storing a lot of wood now. dont want to be burning it when its to wet or it smokes too much, too dry and it'll burn through your supplies too quickly. Its good to check the moisture content to save you money

Comes with two batteries, after the first month both were flat. First was used 4-5 times, second hadn't been used at all and was flat. Instructions aren't the clearest on how to use. Seems all units at this price range you get what you pay for.

This seems to work ok and comes with two batteries and a decent case. Accuracy is somewhat dubious but then that is partly down to how you use it and the timber tested. You must insert the points to one eight of an inch and test several areas of the log. It also helps too know the species of log that you are testing. It’s ok as a guide but there are more accurate, models albeit at a higher price.
