I love this thermometer & hygrometer combination SO MUCH that I keep one in each of my acoustic guitar cases at all times!Acoustic guitars in particular are very sensitive to changes in temperature and humidity. Nice readout, easy to see at a quick glance.Having worked in environmental testing laboratory and having old bones with barometric sensitivity , I am very impressed with the reliable accuracy this device has at the price.I’m perfectly confident in getting accurate enough reading in room near guitar to keep my guitar safe. I play spontaneously at all hours. But yes, your design will indeed get decimal place precision at the sound hole entrance.If you spent $500 or more on a guitar, you need humidity awareness. This is a good one

Got this to monitor humidity levels in my guitar. Seems to be accurate so far. My only issue/concern is that when installed on top of the strings like the instructions say, it leaves an impression on the inside of the guitar case lid. This tells me that it's pressing down on the strings when the lid is closed. So I keep it in the storage area of the case instead, which it kinda defeats the purpose of a true humidity reading inside the guitar itself. It would have been better to design it clip to the sound hole side next to the pick guard area below the strings. Change the design in that regard and you'll have a winner.

Does exactly what it says it will do. Simple. Easy to use. Gives me peace of mind that my guitar is within proper RH when using humidity packs. Been using it for 6 months and no problems at all. Love it. Would buy it again.

Bought this to help keep my nice Taylor acoustic guitar in good humidic shape. Easy to use and easy to read. Sponge hold lots of water so I don't have to refresh it like I do my Damp-it. I do like the Damp-it style which encloses the sound hole but this guy holds enough moisture to humidity the entire guitar body and neck while its in its hard case. The only drawback I can see is.. if you place the gizmo in the sound hole held in place by the strings, its a little difficult to remove it without stretching the strings apart far enough to release its grip. Maybe I just need a little more practice or hold my mouth just right. I do like it and it does the job of providing humidity to my acoustic.

This product seems to have greay accuracy and is of high quality. The performance and ease of use is top notch, takes two seconds to give you the levels. Was a great value for the price. I use it for my acoustic and keeps it's sounding great and the appearance of the wood looking great.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:Price and trust in brandEase of use:Should have an on/off switch other than removing the battery, which is NOT convenient to do. There is a screw holding the battery compartment closed, but it is not easy to re-attach when closing. This is not good engineering design, and it would not have involved re-inventing the wheel to make it better.Functionality:Seems to be accurate on Temperature and Humidity. However, leaving it on the guitar strings inside the case is not feasible, as the lid presses down on it too much when closed: very sad, sorry design which I would expect Music Nomad engineers to have done much better somehow. Make it flatter or hang lower, or don't suggest that it can work on top of the strings. I'm guessing they farmed this out to their foreign supplier, who totally misses the point or else just couldn't care less.Protection:If humidity is your concern, this does seem to give a good indication and track the history.Value for money:Not dirt cheap, but maybe a better value than others that cost more because it does work.Adjustment capability:Saving the high/low measurements is helpful, actually necessary, and this is fine for doing that.Works well:Works, but not good for leaving attached as advertised. It could also use an on/off switch to save battery life when absolutely nothing is changing in the environment. But at least this way, it will catch whatever spikes do occur unexpectedly in Temp/Humidity.
