is it a problem keeping the dust out of the mechanism

The metal plate on the top of the clock offers some protection. Yet the clock should preferably be kept in a dust free room.

Hello,please start the pendulum by a strong push. The pendulums end must swing 40cm. The clock contains an automatic beat adjustment. This feature will adjust the tick-tack sound by so doing.
