This one is possibly my favorite go to switch for thocky sound. It comes in a nice box compared to some other switches I've received. No bent prongs and pretty good quality. So far I've gotten 2 sets for two different keyboards and both sound different due to the parts used, but both are nice and thocky in their own ways.

9/10 - I like my RGB on keyboards, so 1 point is knocked off.Switches feel smooth and heavy. I have a heavy hand when it comes to typing and the lighter gaming linear switches induced more typos for me. These feel very good and the deep thocky sound profile hits the spot. As I am typing this, I can't help but smile at the sound of marbles or dominoes being shuffled around.Only downside is that it does not allow light to passthrough it's solid black housing except for a small hole at the bottom (south). You will need south facing or side keycaps for RGB to shine through and even than the light is very dim. I do know that this design is intended, but this is a personal preference. I will be trying the Milky Yellow Pros soon to see if it allows more light at the sacrifice of a brighter sound.

These switches are a dream to type on. They feel so smooth and responsive, my typing speed has gone up. The sound is also music to my ears, a nice thocky sound without being too loud. Honestly, I can't imagine using anything else now. Best switches I've ever tried, hands down.

I just swapped out my old switches for the Gateron Oil King V2 Pre Lubed 5pin Linear Switches, and the difference is amazing! They’re super smooth and quiet, which has made typing so much more enjoyable—no more annoying scratchiness. The pre-lubed feature was a huge time-saver; I didn’t have to spend hours tweaking them myself. Installation was pretty straightforward, and they feel really sturdy and high quality. Whether I’m working or gaming, these switches respond perfectly every time. Definitely a great upgrade for anyone looking to enhance their keyboard without breaking the bank!

Easy 5 stars if they didn't block out the LED lights. I really hope if Gateron ever decides to make an Oil Kings V3 they consider placing either some sort of transparent housing or LED diffuser to allow for light to shine. Otherwise, if RGB is something you don't care for these are some of the best linears you can buy.

I had purchased these originally after hearing about these “legendary” switches and I was not disappointed. They have the perfect amount of smoothness combined with a sort of “stiffness”. I like the perfect combination of the two and how they come pre lubed to make these switches worth the value that you pay. These are not by any means cheap and target the serious keyboard builder market but fear not! You will not be typing for days with this purchase!
