Improved and good quality
This is a good quality fan to replace an earlier model that failed after 7 years I think. The new model has fixed the problem that caused the old model to fail. This new fan has a weep hole in the junction box (?) to allow water that finds it way inside to escape. The old one did not have the hole and the components inside rusted and failed. I am not sure how the water got in through the electrical conduit but......If all else is the same as the old fan then I expect this fan could outlive me!!Very quiet. Good suction. Make sure you get the right size for your duct by the way, oops

Doing its job well
Been doing its job for several years now. Powerful fan draws the radon out of our basement.

Does not fit Standard PVC
I bought the fan, I like it, its quiet, it’s running right now and I don’t hear it inside the house. My only complaint is that I could not use a standard 6 inch PVC fitting to connect it to the PVC pipe above and below. I guess I needed to buy the rubber Fernco fittings with hose clamps.

Whisper quite
Replaced an identical fan that came with our house. Old fan was over 10 years old so I expect the new fan to last just as long. The new fan is whisper quiet.

Works, easy to install, quiet
I bought this fan to replace a 31-year-old fan that suddenly broke. The AMG Hawk was very easy to install - the wiring diagram was straightforward and the connections were simple enough. The manometer on my system is reading ~0.60, which is what I wanted. And, the fan is barely audible. When I turned it on, I was actually worried it wasn’t working, it was so quiet. A few other people complained about this being too loud. Even the product page on Amazon says it’s about as loud as a printer or something. Its probably more in line with a modern electric fan on a low setting. It’s very quiet. Overall, happy with this so far!

Nice and quiet
My old fan was starting to make an annoying vibration sound, as if someone was always outside with an electric weedwacker. The install was a pain, but that is not the fans fault, the way they installed the original pipes gave no flex. The actual fan was super easy to wire up with the preset connectors. Great replacement fan, dont wait until the unit stops working.
