Origami Paper Gift Set | 200 Sheets, 15cm Square | Designer Patterns Complete Collection

I purchased 2 boxes of Folded Square's beautiful paper to make origami hearts, of various sizes, to create Valentines Day cards for the 40 residents of the care home I work in. The elderly ladies and gentlemen loved the cards, commenting on how beautiful the paper hearts were. The range of print colours and designs are so different, there was something to suit everyone. I'm new to origami, and the paper is easy to fold. Some of the designs have small details (Like fish, or skull and crossbones) that make it fun to try and work out which way around to fold the paper to make sure those details are visible once the folding is complete. Trust me, after folding 120 hearts, that became part of the reason to keep on folding the same shape over and over. I would happily purchase these beautifully packaged and designed papers again. Shhh don't tell anyone, but I often open the box of the left over paper and spread the squares out on my table, just to delight in the colours and shapes and have considered using the paper squares to wallpaper a room in my home, like a patchwork quilt.

Beautiful paper, beautifully wrapped.I bought this as was running out of origami paper from Japan. I had seen some of the designs and liked them - when the papers arrived I was literally over the moon. The paper is beautifully packaged, printed with wonderful designs and works a treat (not that it's possible to go too wrong with origami paper). Only thing is that this paper is so nice I hardly want to use it! heheAnother nice thing is that the package comes with a few goodies and information about each of the designs. Bargain! I'd certainly buy for a present and would recommend to anyone

The 200 sheets are made up of 20 patterns, 10 of each, measuring 15cm square. The pattern is on one side of the white paper. Most are beautiful, however a few patterns are not great IMO. The paper is good quality, soft and can form crisp folds cleanly.The paper is held inside 2 crane motif boxes that have a cute closing mechanism. Each box holds 100 sheets, and is accompanied with some instructions. 2 crossed rubber bands hold it all together, forming a pleasant shape. The graceful duck design instructions are fantastic, but a second set of instructions were for A4 paper and is probably aimed at marketing.I'll be buying this again in the future.

As my title suggests I really like the all the designs in these packs, they are quirky and fun and I have made some very nice looking models from them.I must point out though that it is NOT proper origami paper, it is simply too thick. I would class it as a beginners paper as its very good for simple models/decorations but can be quite tricky to manipulate with more intricate models.

The paper is fine for making origami, but I really don't like the patterns at all. Many of them are childish and stupid, I can't use them for anything. These are shown somewhat in the product photo, but you can't see some details; i.e. one has the address of a website written within the pattern, another has 'fold here' written right in the middle of the sheet in big letters, another has 'please fold me' or something like that made into the pattern as dots - so that when you make something there is a weird discontinuity to the pattern. I really think these patterns are rejects from some other origami set and I basically have to just throw them away. Will definitely not buy these again.

I have to agree with the other review about durability. Although the paper is very pretty and I love the patterns, it does tear quite easily. I'm only doing cranes which are fairly simple, and I have to be careful about how "vigorously" I fold them to avoid tears. But as a basic, fun set of paper for beginners, I think it does the job.

The designer gift pack of 200 origami sheets arrived earlier than I expected which was great. Was presented beautifully and even came with additional paper and a sheet with instructions of how two make 2 origami creations. The actual paper itself is fantastic, so many amazing patterns and colours and I was absolutely delighted and excited the first time I saw them, ideas racing through my head of what I could make with these fantastic quality sheets (perfect size for most animals too). Have now made at least 20 origami animals and the unique patterns make them look so interesting.If you love origami this is the perfect product for you... you are paying £16 for a top quality product and with 200 sheets it will last for ages! Definitely well worth the money :)

When I bought these I believed I was getting one pack and it might be pack 1 or pack 2. I was delighted to receive both packs as shown. A lovely selection of 6inch square papers of contemporary patterns; I think some hint at industrial influences. They are reasonably substantial too. I love them and find them hugely effective for embellishing my cards (I use them to glue behind cut out shapes in the cards or I cut them using my Big Shot and a variety of 'Thinlits' dies. Expensive but worth it. They will last me a long time but I will buy them again when necessary.
