Works beautifully
Easy install, amazing performance. Added to the back of my whitewater kayak for stability with a backpack in windy open lake water.Requires a drill to attach brackets unless your kayak has a rail to attach to and recommend successive upsizing bits while drilling about three times. The buoys do fine when adjusted below water level and not only allow excellent stability but also extra buoyancy to the rear where installed. Went from a kayak designed to roll to one that is virtually impossible to roll that will take waves sideways. The buoys and arms are very durable, but the kayak brackets are just plastic, so if you plan to be detaching and reattaching it more than dozens of times, you’ll probably need to replace the brackets if the plastic teeth wear down. It’s also a somewhat difficult mechanism to release the arms as it’s really just a small wedge of plastic on a spring button locking them in and it’s cumbersome to actuate it while applying traction on the arm to release it.Overall a high quality product for the price.

A+ PRODUCT! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
Well worth the price. Easy install. Have been using for close to 6 months. Everything from freshwater ponds and lakes to the deep waters of Puget Sound. I am 6'4" and 280lbs using these on a 10' angling kayak. No more worries if rolling EVER. Have floated right over wakes from ski boats to giant ocean cargo ships and used with incoming and outgoing rides. These were WAY better than I expected. Great quality parts. Never worry about them popping as they are plastic and not inflatable. Seriously, I will use these on every kayak and if possible on a canoe.

Outrigger Stabilizers
Very good product! Well made - works as described - easy to assemble and mount! Glad I paid the extra and got these instead of the inflatable ones - Can't wait for summer to try them out on the water! Would definitely recommend.

Not Worth The Price
I ordered these for my 12 foot Hoodoo Tempest 120p kayak, which is motorized with aMinn Kota Endure 55 Max electric trolling motor. This Brocraft stabilizer set was purchased as an upgrade from my other stabilizer set that came with inflatable pontoons. I drilled extra holes in the ends of each stabilizer arm and fitted them to both track rails on each side of my kayak. This makes for a very secure system, and there is no flexing of the hull. The weak point is the inflatable pontoons, which are vulnerable to sharp objects in the water, and being accidently hooked! So, this Brocraft set seemed to be the perfect solution.Unfortunately, they turned out to be a bit heavy, hard to put together/take apart, and the pontoons were small.I went out fishing on New Melones Lake in Northern California yesterday,03-13-2024. The wind was blowing, and the water was rough.Perfect weather to test these new stabilizers out in!I realized that there might be a problem when I couldn't get the pontoons to float completely upright on the water.I tried to get them adjusted, but there was nothing to be done about it. See pictures.I mounted the stabilizer arms on the included track rail mounts in order to avoid drilling holes in my boat.I immediately saw cause for concern when I noticed the plastic hull where the metal track rails flexing with every wave, large or small. The next issue was that my kayak heeled over on turns a little farther than it did with the original stabilizers. This may not be a problem for some people, but it was a final deal breaker for me, as I fish large waters that can have some pretty big waves. The inflatable pontoon stabilizers are larger, and they do a better job of stabilizing my motorized kayak in this type of weather conditions.I decided to return the Brocrafts.

Rugged Stabilizer with a Mounting Point Weakness
This stabilizer is one of the most robustly built units I've encountered – almost over-engineered in its construction. However, the mounting point design seems to be a significant oversight. It appears too weak to withstand the considerable force generated at the kayak's mounting point, potentially leading to damage. To address this, I had to implement a crossbar to reinforce the two sides. While the stabilizer itself is excellent, the mounting system definitely needs a redesign for greater durability.

Exactly what I was hoping for!!
Lightweight, Strong Materials, Sturdy, Very Easy to Install and they Look Great!! Also allows me to keep the Outriggers attached while I have my Kayak stored or even while I'm transporting it!Very simple to either get them into place before you launch and not too complicated if you situate them after you're already in the water. So far so good and I'll make an update with images after I get out on the lake to try them out!!

Work as advertised and really help.
I put these on an Ascend R9 used for fishing. As a first time fishing kayak person the stabilizers moved my attention to fishing. Used the supplied well nuts and added extra screws to the holes used for track mounting. Nothing is full proof so be mindful that the stabilizers are present placing the kayak in the water and retrieving. Thanks for a great product. Placement is very important, you want to be clear of the paddle region.

Mounting equipment
I used the provided brackets to mount my outriggers. There are no instructions included but through a little measuring I determined that I needed to drill 1/2” holes for the grommets. After doing this and securing the screws to hold the brackets in place I attached the outriggers and went out onto the creek. After only a few minutes the outriggers had ripped the metal thread inserts on the outer 2 grommets on both sides out, leaving exposed 1/2” holes in the body of the kayak and essentially removing any benefit from the outriggers.I intend to return the outriggers but now I need to find a way to patch the 8 1/2” holes in my kayak.
