This camera is their best yet! The set up was not bad at all. I already have a Netvue camera, which made it as easy as scanning the QR code. I love the solar panel on it as well. The night view is awesome. There is an option for just night view (1st photo) or with the light on (2nd photo). I honestly think the night view is superior but I bet the light would work well on a driveway or front door. We have it on our balcony into the backyard, so the light doesn’t reach that far but the night view is incredible! The motion detection is great, not too sensitive, but sensitive enough to notify for birds and animals. There are a lot of great settings and features on the app view, which is helpful. The daytime picture quality is exceptional! I always recommend Netvue but this one for outdoors is a must have!

Works well as long as it's properly set up. It took a while for us to get it connected to the wi-fi, figure out all the settings, install the updates, but once we got it up and running it worked well. Just make sure that you are connected to a strong network. We moved our wi-fi extender closer to the front of the house and now we don't have any connection issues. ALSO, don't make the mistake we almost made by assuming the template for the screws are the same for both the solar panel and the camera. They provided 2 different templates for a reason!Lastly, I like that it came with a solar panel so that we don't have to worry about connecting it to a battery source or charging it. The first few days I was worried that it wasn't charging, but I think it was waiting for the battery life to go down a bit, which I like since it will likely extend the battery life without over-charging. I will, however, need to find a way to tidy up the cable that connects the solar panel to the camera.

I was given a Birdfe for xmas. It has a netvue camera attached to the feeder. I love it so much that I purchased another netvue camera for my blue bird boxes and my hummingbird feeder! Bought it with the solar attachment . This product is great! I recommend anyone that has feeders to get one. It will record moments when the motion detecter activates! I can see 3days or more on my ipad! I love this technology! . You will not be sorry.

Great camera and easy to install

The picture quality was amazing!.... for the 12days it worked. The solar panel quit charging it. So i climbed up to see if I could manually do it and it manually charged so i Tacked it up to have some very gloomy weather. But yesterday and today had nothing but sunshine, still nothing. Climbed back up to findout it will no longer manually charge. I gave up and customer service is crap. Can never get a response and when you do they are very short and not very helpful.

Got the camera based on recommendation from a friend, and was really happy to see it having the solar panel at such an affordable price. The instruction to install is clear and thorough, and the drilling positioning stickers are very helpful.Having had the experience with two other mainstream monitoring cameras, the charging has always been a pain point. One of them had a battery/cable box that’s just impossible to access and open, while both had decreasing lifespan with each charging. The netvue vigil plus has its charging station at the bottom of the camera and the lid is easy to open yet secure. With the solar panel (maybe the others had this add-on too but definitely not at this price point), I have high hopes that the camera can keep running while I spare my mind somewhere else from constantly worrying it would die when I needed it. So far so good!

This is my second Netvue camera. I added it to my phone app so now I can view either camera from the same place.I had some trouble getting the camera to do a firmware update, but the customer support is great and they gave me instructions.I'm using a 32GB microSD card, so I can store video or photos locally. Also the app allows me to capture photos or video live from the camera.I like Netvue cameras products, they are easy to use, intuitive, and have great image quality, both night and day.

The media could not be loaded. This is my 3rd outdoor camera from Netvue. This camera is definitely the best one so far. The picture clarity has improved greatly with 1080p video. The Ai has improved which reduces the camera firing on non critical movement like trees swaying and clouds moving. Previous cameras Ai would over discriminate and miss some of the vehicles or humans. The current Ai software does a good job of recording only the requested images such as human, animal, pets or vehicles. You do have to purchase the Ai software but it has a very low annual fee and works much better than my other systems including my simplisafe and ring cameras. One problem I have had with this unit is the solar panel would not charge the camera battery, but after contacting their customer service they were able to diagnose the problem and quickly sent me a new panel which worked correctly. So not only are you getting a great camera you are also getting excellent support service!
