Sounds great , quality fit

Was a perfect fit in my Grand Marquis to have a small subwoofer and the price is actually good and it seems quality enough for what I'm doing. The sub was finicky to put in but that's not the boxs problem. The main and really only problem I ran into was the included terminals and wire gauge used on the terminal case. Waaay too small for my comfort level on a 500 watt rms subwoofer. So I had to take the terminal case on and solder on larger wires. After that it's functioning as I prefer and is the perfect size for the space as seen in the pictures if I post any.

This is a reallly good box for the price, can't go wrong. As another reviewer said, the description is a little misleading as part of the construction is 3/4" mdf (as advertised) and part is only 1/2" mdf. I sprayed the interior with plastidip to sort of thicken it up and prevent vibration, although I'm not sure if that was necessary, it does seem well built and glued together. Porting frequency seems a tad high (see UPDATE below), maybe 45 or 50hz or even higher? ...but it's easy to lower the porting frequency with a wadded up old tshirt or a pool noodle as another reviewer suggested. In an automotive application it might be low enough, for home theater or dnb or hiphop shows maybe experiment with a pool noodle in the port *grin*. Overall, this is a fantastic box, well built, pretty compact, a real steal for under $80 shipped. ~~~ Note you will need a drill bit for speaker holes, some screws for mounting, some wire to connect your sub to the terminal. UPDATE: Confirmed the porting frequency is much too high, added it at a show to a KV2 dual 15 (one of the best sub setups) and this was literally canceling out the lowest notes of the KV2. We finally shut off this sub. BUT, that is an easy fix, partially obstruct the port with something like a pool noodle OR if you are near a wall place this sub an inch or way from the wall facing the wall. This will effectively lower the porting frequency and it won't cancel out the 35 hertz notes from your other speakers. Still great for the money! editagain: In my pic I'm using "Allstar - ALL14100 Black 3' Roll Bar Padding" to mostly obstruct the ports and the porting frequency after doing that is about 31 hertz. MMM mmmmmm (I'm guessing it was 45 or 50 hz before that, much much too high)

Picked out 2 or 3 big staples in the polyfil they attempted to attach to the inside the box, luckily they didn't stab me when I was vacuuming out after I had to enlarge the hole to fit my JL sub.

If you do not give this 5 star, you have no idea what it takes to make a box and wrap it in fabric. I was very happy with the box. The 1 inch front is crazy amazing. If I made this by going to Home Depot I would have to buy an entire 4x8 sheet. That is $54. The material to wrap it would be min $20. Then I need to design it and spend 4 hrs cutting the 4x8 and building the box in July heat. I am a master carpenter and to build this one time would cost in materials 100% of the price I paid...plus my labor and errors and mistakes and my felt wrap would never have the factory tight look and feel..so the value says buy this box. The mfg is making an insanely strong build and it looks great and it serves a single purpose which is keep the woofer stable and immobile which this does for less than you can make it at home...this is a huge buy signal. The complaints...read them...troll lazy complaints which are not functional complaints that impact the sound or look or value...you can spend twice more on the same box or not...thus ends the lessons.

Perfect size box and look i will prefer the carpet was black because my trunk is black but is ok is charcoal gray i still love it i have a kicker compR and fit perfectly fine no modifications needed i recommend it is pretty solid

If you have a sub laying around that needs a box then YOU NEED THIS. Comes with every thing you need and the components feel like quality materials. The sound is also shakes the earth. Installed with an infinity 1250w sub ran off a Jensen 1000w amp at running bridged 4ohm 500w setting, the box amplifies the low ends of all kinds of music and it seriously changed the way my audio system sounds entirely, plus if you’re a 99-04 mustang owner this is the one box that will perfectly fit the convertible model if you can’t find anything this worked perfectly. If 6 stars was an option I would rate it 6 stars! :) PERFECT VALUE FOR THE MONEY

I'm using this in my stereo system in the living room. I'm using a Planet Audio driver, and a 950W RMS Yorkville amp. I cross it over at 16Hz (slope means it works up to ~40Hz) Plug the port with a pool noodle to eliminate "chugging" though. I will never run this at full power, but it works much better than a crappy active sub that won't go down past 25Hz.

I was gonna build my own box, but for the price of a saw blade, and a sheet of 3/4" MDF this was cheaper! I am blown away by the quality too. It is nailed accuratly, and all the joints are glued. It is extremely strong, can be used for many purposes. On top of that the carpetting is extremely neat, there is no excess anywhere. The connections are basically free at this price, and installed very well. The ported box is a benefit to my budget set up, this box ties it nicely. Very happy
