This trimmer is well designed and built in Japan.

I bought this in 2018 from Amazon. I use it for beard trimming only. I had earlier Braun, Norelco, Wahl. This is the best by far. Not for long beards as the max extension of the guard is 10mm. Battery isn't the best. I'm buying a second as the battery is starting to fail and I've tried everything else but nothing compares for my needs. I hope the new one is as reliable as the old one. Clean it, lubricate the blades, don't run it until the battery is totally discharged and you'll get years of reliable service like I have. It might not be a Swiss Army knife but it does exactly what I want.

After reading tons of reviews on different trimmers (seriously, I went through so many!), I decided to give this one a try and saved up for it. Here’s my honest take:Pros:It’s a very powerful trimmer – cuts through hair easily.The head detaches effortlessly, making it super easy to clean.Beard hair doesn’t get stuck in the trimmer head, unlike many others I’ve tried.Compact and portable, making it perfect for travel.Delivery was impressively fast.Cons:It’s quite expensive, which might be a dealbreaker for some.It doesn’t come with a case, which is disappointing considering the price point.Overall, I’d give it 4.5 stars. It’s a great product, but the lack of a case for such an expensive item was a bit of a letdown.

Overall I'm super happy with this it's just that you have to charge it more often than I expected. This is no big deal because it charges up fast. My old razor lasted longer and I was able to go on trips without taking the charge cord.

I replaced my 15-year-old Wahl beard trimmer with this. This is a very high-quality, well-built product with plenty of length settings. (Perhaps too many - but I did see another with more). I really only need two and this certainly has more than my old Wahl.When you turn this on you know you have a high-quality product, the hum is low and fast, and quiet. I haven't had to charge it yet so the battery seems to last quite a while. (I have had it for three months not but I do not use it every day - more like twice a week)The drawbacks - It does not come with a case (But you can buy one for $13-15 on Amazon. Its charging cable has a somewhat large base (2' x 3/3") to plug into the wall, which takes a bit of room when packing. Finally, I wish the plastic "Trimming comb" felt a bit more substantial. It's thin and light, and I kinda feel like it could easily crack or snap, especially during traveling. It's the one piece that feels cheap on this otherwise quality razor.

I own a Braun trimmer and bought the Panasonic to replace it. However, the 10 setting on the Panasonic is around a 6-7 on the Braun. So, even at the longest setting the beard length is short enough you can see skin through the beard. The cutting blades are very good, and washable is a plus, but the lack of the longer setting means this won't work for me and I'll look at alternatives

I know that a lot of reviewers complain that this trimmer makes the trimmed hair "fly" around the bathroom countertop. However, after having purchased a cheaper beard trimmer that had a built-In "vacuum" that sucked the hair into a small chamber, I decided to spend the extra bucks to buy this one because the cheaper model only lasted about 5 months before some of the flimsy plastic parts broke.This trimmer is amazing! When you turn it on, there is a "professional" hum of the motor. It has a really nice feel in the hand and is easy to maneuver. All of the trimmer parts are rinseable and the guard is made of a high quality plastic that won't break easily.There is an adjustment "wheel" that can adjust from super-short to five o'clock shadow length. Note: this is NOT a trimmer for long beards - it is meant to be used with close-cropped beards.The battery life is excellent as well. One full charge has lasted me 3+ weeks of daily trimming of my beard. It also has a great safety feature to child-proof the trimmer: simply hold the power button in, and the trimmer is locked so it can't accidentally be turned on. Another long-press will unlock the trimmer for use.I highly recommend this trimmer even though it costs almost double of cheaper models. But as I said, having been disappointed with a cheaper trimmer that didn't last more than 5 months, it is well worth the extra money.
