Snap
I really like these items. They all connect in a snap (I have 3 nodes) and extend throughout my entire 6000 ft home. The app is nice too

I cover more area than another mesh system I had running
Ok, 3 channels, 2 5G and 1 2.4, all can have their own name (SSID). My home automation systems can be networked easily on the 2.4, while I channel surf on 5G. And one of the 5G's can access the DHCP range of the home automated switches, so I can turn things on and off with ease. The other 5G is for secure computing. Oh, and there is a guest network with 1 2.4 and 2 5G channels. So I can keep everybody separate, secure, and happy with 6 SSIDs. Plus I get coverage with 2 mesh stations where I needed 3 before. And fast. Also, you can tweak anything, a lot of access to the the parameters. Like changing admin and a simple password to perhaps Odin and a complex password. The lack of 1 star is that I lose connection to one of the SSIDs sometimes. Apparently the base works but not the remote since I had a weak signal. Might be an airliner talking on approach or radar. Cycled the radio on the SSID, full strength was back. Have to look at the settings to see if I can fix it. But for most folks, defaults should work.

AiMesh not ready
I purchased this Asus router to extend my AiMesh WIFI but it did not work. I have Asus GT-AX6000 router with two XT9 setup as nodes. This was accomplished without headaches and immediately was recognized on the app and paired with my network. The XT8 was purchased later to extend my network but would not pair even when coupled with the ethernet cable to the main router. It was delivered in a plain white box with the serial number affixed. Not sure if this was a refurbished or opened box item.

Replaced failed previous unit
The ASUS mesh system performs very well. My daughter's family and we share a property with two houses approximately 200 feet apart. The primary node is connected to the Starlink modem in their house. The remote node is in our house. The remote node failed after less than 6 months use. This unit replaced the failed node. I entered the serial number of the failed node on the ASUS website and it reported that there was no record of the unit for warranty. So I had to purchase a new one. I am not happy about having no warranty. That is why I gave them 3 stars for tech support. But the system is working again and performing very well.

Dead in 7 Months, Bad Customer Support, and Worthless Warranty
I bought this highly rated router and 7 months later I did a factor reset and turned it into a brick. That was not the worst part - the worst part is ASUS customer service!Their policy is to have you send both parts (the brick and the working node) back to them. When they receive the two items, they will test them and determine if it is indeed an issue. If deemed an approved warranty grievance, they will send you a new set. This is great but it can take up to 4 weeks to get them turned around and another week to get delivered to you.Don't know your personal situation but my house cannot go 4+ weeks without a router!!Highly rated router - AWFUL customer service!! It was obvious they just did not care.More detail - Spent 1.5 hours on the phone the day it stopped working.I made 5 additional calls that required wait times of 20 minutes or more and when they finally answered I gave them the Case Number and then they proceeded to waste my time by asking me what the problem was!! Finally, a supervisor called and left a voicemail as he was going to fix the issue but left no name and no number. This meant I had to start with another staffer and demand to speak with a supervisor. When that supervisor came on the line the first words out of his mouth were “what is the issue?” I mediately asked him if he had the case number and details in front of him – he said yes! That was it! I give up – my time is worth more than what I paid to replace this piece of trash. Forget it - I had already replaced the piece of junk!Their warranty is WORTHLESS??

Not entirely all powerful
I was hopeful this tech was ready to broadcast the signal power needed to penetrate my floors and walls, it is not. However once I bought 4 units it saturated the entire 2700 sq ft we call home. The 160 MHz Wi-Fi is utterly useless for me. Nothing on 160 is ever stable. The user interface is thorough and friendly. Setup is a breeze. Finding data choke points however is not intuitive or even considered (unless I’m missing some hidden memory feature). Lastly, I did have to keep an old Wi-Fi router in my system because some peripheral devices, like Wi Fi activated lights just could not find this router.

Works extremely well
I have an Asus primary router. These sub-routers (part of Asus' AiMesh network) were purchased to fill in the gaps in my home WiFi network (2500 sq ft house) in the 5 Ghz spectrum. They work very well. The 5Ghz spectrum doesn't do well with walls (or other objects) in the way. It is just physics. These help amplify the signals from the primary Asus router throughout the home and my fiber speeds are above 500Mbps pretty much everywhere in my house (and outside) now, whereas in some (most) areas I had a very hard time getting 20Mbps. Very easy to set up with Asus' primary router interface. Rebooted a couple of times and let the system optimize and I am a very happy customer.
