Makita 193201-8 Carbon Plate

I too the old shredded one off and put this one on and the belt sander worked like new again. It last a fair amount of time as it is in a busy frame making workshop.

Quick, efficient replacement due to misuse of sander.

Easy replacement, no issues, what you expect from an OE part.

Good item. Needed to Redrill mounting holes but it takes seconds.

Worker well but to order a second time is £4.49 delivery, disgraceful I will buy it elsewhere

Seems to loose a lot of graphite flakes when first used. Had the original on my sander for years and it finally wore through. Replaced with this but from initial impressions I don’t think it will last. It is hard to tell from my worn original but I think the bonded graphite on the new one is thinner than original. Also my original never lost graphite flakes like this even when brand new.As another reviewer put it, it could be possible that this is a fake or equally possible Makita changed the design and reduced the thickness of the graphite, as there is less thickness there is less bonding surface area allowing it to release more of the graphite.Jury is out for me.

They are thinner and made more cheaply at the same overly expensive price.As they are thing they are not the right thickness to stop the sander bottoming out on some places.Way over priced and the quality has gone through the floor
