Dependable with high quality and excellent software compatibility with different operating systems
This back‑up power supply has exceeded my expectations. With how unreliable the power can be here in the Front Range of Colorado, I bought it to keep my 14‑year‑old Windows 7 PC—used as a file server—from crashing during unexpected outages. When I purchased the unit, I noticed SKE offered free software for managing shutdowns, but I procrastinated because I assumed it wouldn’t support such an old operating system. Seven months later, I finally checked Megatech.com and was shocked—in a good way—to find software compatible all the way back to Windows 98. I installed it on my Windows 7 machine, and it works flawlessly. The control panel lets you fine‑tune exactly how you want your equipment to shut down, which gives me real peace of mind. I also discovered another great use for this UPS: during a power loss, I can plug in my 50‑year‑old 4000‑watt Ford generator and use the surge‑protection feature to deliver clean, stable power to newer appliances like my refrigerator and freezer. Those appliances are sensitive to “dirty” power, and this UPS ensures they stay protected. Overall, a dependable, versatile unit with impressive software support for older systems.

Country Living Chronicles: How I Defeated Power Outages and Saved My Sanity (and My Files)
Living out in the country has its perks—fresh air, peace, and the occasional neighbor who waves at you like you’ve been best friends for decades. However, reliable power? Oh, that’s just a pipe dream. After enduring enough power outages to rival a poorly run magic show, I decided to take matters into my own hands and bought a generator. Now, for the long, drawn-out blackouts that make you question if you accidentally time-traveled to the 1800s, the generator is my hero. But those short, blink-and-you’ll-miss-it outages—less than 30 seconds and seemingly triggered by a butterfly sneezing? That’s where my new gadget comes in. No more lost files, no more unsaved documents, and no more yelling at my computer like it’s personally offended me. Problem solved, power restored, and my sanity (mostly) intact.

Good UPS protection
I have a fiber internet modem, a switch, a WiFi router and a NAS plugged in to this UPS. I have experienced several short power outages (none more than 1 or 2 minutes) in the last few months and all the plugged in devices stayed powered throughout and were not affected in any way. The only complaint I have is that the UPS does not support auto shutdown of my NAS but for the price, I think I am getting very good value from this.

Good APC alternative
Seems well made and uses replaceable batteries, much like the standard APC line. The 6 outlets are really tight together. Extender may be needed for some items. Price was a good value when compared to the reputable alternatives. I haven't tried any software yet - simply plugged it in and connected my stuff. Hopefully it will last long enough; I will update if it fails prematurely.

Too Compact UPS
I am going to keep this UPS, but I had to add an undesirable power strip because the plugs are too close together. If all you have are standard plugs this will be fine. My plugs are transformer blocks which don't fit.

Not very well made.
So I bought this and the front battery backup outlets did not work at all. I tried to return it, but Amazon said I had to take it to a UPS store and the closest one was miles away and I am disabled and unable to drive, so it sits. I am a little handy and I took it apart, since obviously it wasn't going to get returned, and found that the outlets weren't even connected. The entire inside looked very flimsy and I didn't feel comfortable in connecting the outlets for fear of a fire hazard. This was for my Bi-Flex breathing machine, oh well, that a hundred bucks I won't get back.

Saves things that need to stay powered up and protected.
I bought this for my DTF printer due to losing power. This quietly sits in the back ground and when you lose power you will not even know as there is no time between then and this kicking in. The size is small and has built in surge protectors. The best thing I bought to protect my electronic equipment.
