Very Good Product / Super Great Customer Support
Update to my previous review. While I unfortunately experienced another failure, upon notifying Tessan, I had a replacement in just over 24 hours. Now that is what I call Customer Service! As they are quick to stand behind their product and warranty hopefully you will not be dissuaded to give their product a try as I think it is a good one.I have ordered six of these extenders and found them and the companion app to be quite good. But even better is the customer support. I had one fail and while it took a couple of messages back and forth through the Amazon web site they are sending a replacement. Product support is key to my future business with a company and Tessan has mine.

Stopped functioning properly after a year
Update 6/2025 - the third of these outlets I purchased (this one Sept 2023) has just starting behaving like the other two. I’m never buying anything Tessan again. All three have stopped working. These are not inexpensive. I’m pretty mad. I expect things to last longer than a year and a half, especially when they were $30 a piece.I bought two of these WiFi outlet hubs back in Oct/Nov 2023. They worked very well for long time, occasionally disconnecting from the WiFi, but they were easily reset. I use the scheduling feature in the app to have the power on and off at specific times of day. Well, fast forward to present day mid-April 2025. I’ve been fighting with both outlets for a few months now. Keeping them on is a daily struggle. They usually turn off on schedule, but never turn back on the next day. When I go to manually turn them on, they will stay on a few seconds, then shut off. I have to keep turning them on multiple times until they finally stay on. Sometimes even then they will stay on for an hour, and shut off. I removed the scheduled times from the outlet, and still they seem to shut off at the old scheduled shut off time. I have repeatedly unplugged them, reset them, removed them from the app fully, including data, then would reconnect them, and still I am having all these problems. I’m not technically challenged. We have solid internet in the condo. The outlets are not placed out of range of the WiFi. I’m fed up at this point and I’m just buying Kasa ones instead. Just wanted to put this warning out there - they could be fine for a year or so, and then suddenly be unusable. They are too pricey to only last a year, so not worth it in my opinion.

Almost perfect
Pros:* Very easy to pair as with most SmartLife ecosystem devices* So far working well manually and with automationCons:* Covers both outlets so would have been nice to have an optional screw for permanent installation on a standard outlet, or it could have been made slightly shorter on the top so you could still use the top outlet.* Would have preferred to be able to control the USB ports individually.* The lights are pretty bright/obnoxious, definitely could be dimmer and in colors that don't affect night vision* Wish I could disable the energy usage tracking feature, not a fan...

A company that STANDS behind their product
Let me start by saying that I recommend this product not only for its features and quality but also for the outstanding customer support.First, with the product itself:It works as it should, its convenient and the smart features tie right into our Alexa ecosystem. No complaints and easy integration. Basically it does exactly what its supposed to and does it well. Now the support? In a single word...Amazing!Just about 14 months after I purchased this surge protector, it started power cycling and would not stay on. I contacted the Tessan support team and they asked for the description of the issue and a photo or video to show the issue. Once I provided all the information, they stood behind their product and shipped a new one as this issue should not have occurred, especially so soon after purchasing it.Going forward I will be a faithful customer based on their support alone. I'd rather purchase a product from a company I trust than to save a dollar or 2.

Love this thing.
I didn't even know wifi plugs were a thing until I got an ikea cabinet and turned it into an indoor greenhouse. I plug all my lights and fans into this and the app let's me set timers and schedules. It's also integrated into my Google home app, but I normally find myself just using the dedicated app instead. The one thing that could be improved is that the plugs can all be controlled individually, but all the USB ports have to be controlled as one. Which is fine for my purpose, but it would be nice if each usb could be turned on and off independently

Good if connected
It works great with the Smart Life app when it's connected. If it drop the connection it can not reconnect without cycling power to it. Might be my wifi setting for a guest network but I would think it would be good to reconnect when my network reboots once a week.
