Incorrect threads.
I ordered one and the threads were incorrect either bad machining or not NH thread as stated. I ordered another with the same problem. These would begin to thread on then come to a stop after about a turn like a pipe thread would or if pitch is barely off. I returned both and ordered same type adapter from different company and it fits correctly. Should spin on until making contact with the gasket.
