Stunning Piece of Art You Can Build
This LEGO set is absolutely beautiful. Recreating Hokusai’s The Great Wave in brick form is both relaxing and rewarding. The build is detailed and surprisingly immersive, with layered textures that give the wave a dynamic, 3D look. The included soundtrack adds a nice touch of mindfulness while building. Once complete, it looks fantastic on the wall. Perfect for LEGO fans and art lovers alike, Definitely A must-have for anyone who appreciates art, Japanese culture, or just wants a standout LEGO set for their home or office.

LEGO artwork that can become the centerpiece of a room
Beautiful and elegantly designed LEGO artwork that captures the style and feeling of the original "The Great Wave off Kanagawa".The design makes creative use of various LEGO shapes and pieces to create a seamless depiction that has depth and texture to it. Some of the most creative use of pieces are tiny white doves that are used to create the crashing white wave caps. The completed piece is larger than I was expecting and is a great value for the price. I have it displayed above the fireplace in my living area as a centerpiece and it always attracts positive comments and attention. If you love LEGO and appreciate the original artwork, you'll love this LEGO set.

Love it - Fun & Then Wall Decor!
My fiance had so much fun building this - not a difficult build if that’s what you are seeking but found it to be calming and relaxing. There were no missing pieces and it has hooks on the back so you can hang it up- as we did on our wall! I love that it was fun and now is decor. Shows all the details like the real photo and was a much better deal to purchase here than at Target!

Actually hangable artwork
I have generally become enamored of some of the more elegant display pieces LEGO has produced in recent years, but this is my favorite so far. It's a really creative rendition of the classic woodblock painting, with a lot of depth and texture, but it's also designed to be hung on your wall. They really thought about the structural engineering needed to make that work, and it can be hung with two nails.Additionally, the picture and the frame/mat are pieced separately and then joined together, so if you want a different color mat or frame, you can just order bricks in the right color (with the help of the pieces list in the back of the book) and redo the frame to match your decor. I'll be ordering some black bricks to make it looks like a basic gallery frame and match the rest of the artwork I have in my house.

Beautiful Display Piece – Perfect Birthday Gift for My Son!
Review: My son got this for his 11th birthday, and he absolutely loved putting it together. The instructions were clear, and it was fun to watch it come to life. The best part is that we could hang it on the wall once it was finished, instead of it just sitting on a table or desk collecting dust. It's such a creative way to invest in LEGO and actually put it to good use. Now it’s a piece of art we can enjoy daily!Overall: Fantastic kit for both building and displaying.

Immensely enjoyable; a beautiful, playful reimagining.
I haven’t built a LEGO set since I was a kid, but when I saw the Great Wave off Kanagawa had been turned into an Art set, I had to have it. I’ll admit I was initially intimidated by the 1,810 pieces proclaimed on the box, but now that it’s complete after approximately 5 hours, part of me wishes there were more, so the build could continue. Assembling this reimagined work of art was a sublime pleasure.Overall notes:- The build guide booklet was top notch; very easy to follow, and intuitive, especially for the frame.- Building this work had a true flow; everything progressively and harmonically working towards the end result. Watching the waves build and rise up when I would take a step back to look at it was quite inspiring.- The accompanying podcast was incredibly interesting, informative, and made some of the more monotonous/repetitive portions of the build oddly pleasant. I could plug down seemingly endless circular color bricks while learning more than I ever imagined about the history and process of the original woodblock print.- The finished product is astounding, full stop.If you’re an adult who, like myself, hasn’t ventured into the brick world since childhood, trust that this is well worth the cost, and it is time well-spent.
