Destination CISSP: A Concise Guide

I ordered this book on August 14th, 2023, received it by August 16th, 2023, and successfully passed in 125 questions on August 29th, 2023. This book felt almost magical; it was as if it had been sent by divine intervention to ensure my success. The book is concise, yet it doesn’t miss any core concepts or topics (it spans 500 pages, with about 470 pages of content).Initially, I began with a different book (I cannot mention the exact name without Amazon rejecting my review), which was a whopping 1300 pages long, with 1120 pages of content. The highlight of this book (Destination CISSP) lies in its vibrant, colorful printing and visually appealing graphics that not only captivate but also elegantly explain complex concepts. In contrast, the other book I tried was limited to black and white visuals. This book helped me in swiftly covering all the material, helping me grasp the core concepts without dozing off.For those concerned about potential omissions of crucial small details, I recommend reading the 1-2 pages of summary material at the end of each chapter in some of the larger 1000+ page CISSP books and/or immersing yourself in the Official CISSP LearnZApp content through practice questions and exams. By doing this, you can rest assured that you’re capturing all the minute details.However, let me return to my main point—I deeply wish I had commenced my studies with this book. The authors have done an excellent job in crafting a book that matches the aesthetic appeal of their YouTube Mind Map videos while effectively focusing only on important concepts that have a realistic chance of appearing on the exam.A heartfelt note of gratitude to the Destination CISSP Team!

I was preparing for my CISSP exam and started with the list of materials from the ISC2 resource Web site. I purchased the (ISC)2 Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) Official Study Guide, 9th Edition with the Exam book. These Exam books from ISC2 came with a Web portal where the practice tests exist to simulate a real exam environment. I must have read the ISC2 material several times and I never seemed to hold on to the detailed data and concepts as I move along the chapters to fulfil the Eight domain Exam requirements.However, I kept looking around for a solution to my concept and details retention problem on YouTube and found several Exam Cram courses, which was nice but still did not help, until I stumbled onto Rob CISSP Destination Mind-Map videos of the CISSP Domains and related concepts. I was really happy to finally find a source that puts it all together so nicely, without fanfare or fluff. I went through the first two Domains Mind Maps and wanted more from this group. Then, I found this Book on Amazon. When it came in the Mail, I did not expect much, until I started reading it. I was finally getting somewhere with my concept retention requirements. This Book led me to the Real CISSP Destination Master Class, which added the icing to the cake of fully preparing for the CISSP. I highly recommend following this path that I took. Especially, use the ISC2 Online exam banks to keep the details alive. Take the exams multiple times and keep taking the chapter exams until it is time to take the Final Tests of 124 questions that will solidify your preparation. I scored in the 70s for the general final exams. I took all four exams towards my final preparation test day and stopped studying a4 4:00 PM the day before the Exam. Then, on the Day of the test, I read all the Final Chapter Review Essay question answers from the ISC2 book, which provided the meat that I needed. I took the test in 3 hours and was kicked out when I reached question 127. It just kicked me out! I thought I had blown it. But, when I reached the front desk, the receptionist handed me my report that started with the magic words: Congratulations! What a feeling...
