The only boron that matters biologically is sodium borate. It is an organic material and good for you, and used to be plentiful in the soil. You used to find this as Borax (pure sodium borate) and just like bicarbonate of soda it could also be used for cleaning jobs. In fact that is how Borax was marketed at first, as a cleaning agent. But just like Bicarb it was found to have other very powerful uses for health matters, and we can't have that can we. The Borax you'll find now is a Borax substitute not the real deal, and is for cleaning purposes only. Not pure Sodium Borate anymore, just toxic chemicals. Much harder to get the real McCoy Borax now which is obviously more economical, but there are a few supplement companies who still sell real Boron (sodium borate) in capsule or tablet form rather than the cheaper useless form, and Osavi appears to be one of them. Has to be said that a 3mg dose is really just a minimum maintenance dose, but not sure they can sell bigger than that. I'd advise people to do their research on health and sodium borate but in the meantime this is at least the real stuff with no additives. The capsules are normal sized (bit on the smaller size than some) and easy to swallow. No aftertaste. You get 120 capsules and are advised to take 1 a day. I take more than that, but do your research.

I have not had any side effects taking these, nor my beloved husband. So for that I can say these are good. Boron was one of the minerals we used to get in ample amounts in our food - from the soil, but due to the horrible way lands have been farmed, the soil is depleted to the point we are all deprived of these minerals - my opinion along with so many eminent people, Doctors, Nutritionprofessor's and thousands of others more qualified than I So

I love the Osavi brand and do use their supplements with good results. I also love Boron, as it is an amazing underrated supplement, that I have found so beneficial when I've taken it. But I have taken it previously as boric acid in a 3mg tablet. Boric acid is the extracted, processed, and refined form of the essential mineral Boron. Osavi are supplying sodium borate. And I've found out that Borates are a class of minerals that contain boron. So it is not Borax which is a specific compound. It would be really helpful if Osavi had an explanation on the listing of why they used Sodium borate rather than Boric acid or boric citrate. But so far, these are working well. Maybe not as immediately effective as the boric acid tablets I've previously taken, but still good nonetheless. Easy to take with no side effects.

You can research the benefits about boron yourself, we all have it in our bodies naturally and there is a bunch of research out there, a search engine asway. I have seen other reviews warning about it being in cleaning products, what a load of guff. Water is in cleaning products too, as is chloride, as is hydrogen peroxide, etc. We all have these things naturally too. Boron is an element and it's uses are neither here nor there with regard to supplementation of it, let alone at 3mg a day! Which is a reasonable dose and a 4 month supply for it at this offering to me seems brilliant value. I am happy with the capsules themselves, they are an ideal size and easy to swallow. Capsules are always the way to go and this is the standard material that most manufacturers use. They are of course vegan as they are cellulose (non animal). The main ingredient is inulin (as obviously we are buying this for the 3mg of boron, but they have to put something in the capsule), inulin itself is a probiotic and a fibre so it is a good thing too. Helps good bacteria in the gut as well as digestion & some people take it to deal with constipation. Boron itself as I mentioned above is well researched so please do some reading about it if you are interested.

This contains ingredients which are toxic. I didn't realise this and now am unable to get a refund. Straight in the bin

these days it is hard to find boron supplements & borax in the EU, by regulation. This is one of the few available on Amazon, and the quality seems fine, no funny taste . I'll order this one again.
