READ speed is '400x' as advertised / WRITE speed not so great
Over the past decade I used more than one dozen Transcend memory cards (including CF, SD and micro-SD), and have never encountered any card failures. They are all reasonably priced and provide adequate performances. So when I saw this Transcend 64GB MicroSDXC Class 10 UHS-1 card (TS64GUSDU1P) offered during Amazon Deal of the Day sale, I quickly grabbed another one. This product is advertised as '400x', or 60MB/s ('1x' = 150kB/s, a leftover from the days of CD-ROM drives). But this is referring to its Sequential READ speed only. The Sequential Write speed is much slower according to my testing.I used a program called CrystalDiskMark v3.0.1 x64 to benchmark this card. The card reader I used is the Transcend USB 3.0 Card Reader (TS-RDF5K) , plugged into an USB 3.0 port. This is important to note because if you use an USB 2.0 card reader or USB port, the card speed will be handicapped. My benchmark result shows this card has a sequential Read speed of 67.5MB/s, which is better than the advertised 60MB/s. Its Write speed, however, is only 21.2MB/s. Technically this is twice as fast as a 'class-10' card, but it is slower than most other UHS-1 microSD cards I have purchased in the past two years. See the comparison chart I uploaded for details.[Bottom Line]This is a decent card and a good value. I just wish its write speed is on par with other UHS-1 cards. In my case, I intend to use it in a portable media player, so the write speed is not critical. But if you need a memory card for recording HD video or for use in DSLR, look for one that bears the symbol 'U3' (A big 'U' with a '3' inside). I have tested the Sony 64GB microSDXC High Speed Memory Card (SR64UXA/TQ) and its Write speed is 57.2MB/s - almost 3 times faster than this U1 card.[Other Observations]- The card says "Made in Taiwan"- The capacity of this '64GB' card, as reported by my computer, is 60.0GB. This is actually higher than that of some other cards. For example, the Gigastone MicroSDXC 64GB (GS-2IN1X1064G-R) only shows 58.2GB

I fully tested this card and it is the best brand I have ever used...my detailed review of this excellent card.
For several years, I purchased JUST SanDisk and PNY SD Cards, most of the time I purchased SanDisk. However, I decided to give Transcend 64GB Premium 400x a try. I purchased TWO Transcend SD cards with 64GB. And I tested both of them and was amazed:1 When I copied files from my PC to these cards, it was faster than my SanSisk cards were...the same type MicroSDXC Class 10 on both brands!2 My older Samsung devices are very picky about ang card over 32GB, yet these cards were read easily by my older Samsung Tab 4 and even my old TAB 3 read these.3 These cards are genuine, not fake.4 Comes with SD adapter...and I plugged in micro card into it and my old Win 7 desktop read it right from the SD card slot no problems.5. My card reader read it fine and I plugged it into my OTG Adapter, my Tab A 8.0 read it just fine.6 The card was preformatted and my PC Computer read it fine, all my Android devices I tested it on read it perfectly.7 For the very low price of 17.99, this is a BEST BUY in my opinion!8 Every test I ran on this card worked fine. So far, I am very pleased with this Transcend 64GB MicroSDXC Class card.If you are wondering if you show putchase this SD Card over other brands, then in my opinion, I say BUY THIS CARD!Very highly recommend this card.

Great micro SD card for the dough!
I bought two of these, one for my phone and the other for an action camera. They work perfectly, transfer data at close to the listed speed and have pretty much the same amount of available space as all other 16GB card (approximately 14.75GB). Flash memory has gotten so cheap lately that you can get huge capacity for a low price, but sometimes quality is sacrificed in the process.I purchased a 64GB not long ago from another site that was advertised as top quality, but the price was lower than most other 64GB cards. I received it and everything appeared to be fine. Upon using it, I discovered that the memory inside the card was corrupt and all pictures I had stored on the card were useless.I won't make this mistake again, and will be sure to buy all my cards from Amazon, from certified dealers and at the best market prices around! If you need flash, this is a great choice!!

The 16GB size seems to be a sweet spot right now
With all the in depth specifications and speed ratings these days, I knew exactly what I was buying when I ordered this, and from a trusted brand too. To no surprise, it performed exactly as expected. This was the fastest micro SD card that I could find, for a reasonable price. The 16GB size seems to be a sweet spot right now, though soon the 32GB cards will most likely be a more widely used option, as device support in this format grows. This SD card is amazingly fast, as the UHS I rating would indicate, and I have had no issues with weird data loss issues that I had with some other brands at this speed rating. I would and do recommend this card to anyone in the market for a new SD card, especially so, if they have large format media such as large photos or high resolution video.

Inexpensive space for everything and then some
It's truly insane how inexpensive and small digital storage is becoming as time goes on - I still remember when a 30 Gig hard drive was "too much" space if not outright opulentGrandmother's been hounding me about getting her those pictures and videos I took from the last family gathering but emailing just hasn't been an optionI offered to throw the pics/vids on one of these bad boys and told her I'd even throw in a few thousand Memes, of the highly relateable variety, to make it up to her - I only needed 8Gb, but these were so cheap why not step it up a bit? This piqued her interest and got her off my backWin-win, you guys
