BioLite Portable Grill Attachment for CampStove 2

Great addition to the stove. The grill itself is very good quality, the case not so much but enough.

This works so well. I purchased the Bio Lite last year and have been really happy with it and this additional product is great quality. The legs are sturdy and the grill fits well. Even on windy days it all stays in place. It is slightly bigger than I was expecting which makes it even better for cooking with. The grill packs up well for carrying and is also very easy to clean. Worth the money

This is a good accessory for the BioLite Camp Stove. It effectively turns the stove into a wood-fired grill and is great for BBQs when camping and doing picnics. Aside from some distortion issues (more on that later) the product cooks really well. The metal flame spreader that sits under the grill does a really good job of distributing heat to whatever's being cooked. The small holes in the flame spreader allow the heat to pass through but stop the flames from contacting the food directly. This ensures that food doesn't char, and also means that fatty foods such as sausages won't catch on fire. It makes cooking anything from sausages and burgers to kebabs and steaks a real breeze, and I haven't had a single item of food burn yet. The stove is big enough to cook for a family of four as long as people don't mind waiting for their food. I usually manage to fit on about three large burgers in one go, or between four and six sausages/kebabs (depending upon how long they are). Of course, being a wood-fired grill the food tastes great. Much better than gas-fired BBQs! The lid is also well thought out and keeps all the soot inside the stove after use. It's a bit flimsy however, and I'm pretty sure that the tab holding the two parts of the lid together will break at some point. So far a glowing review, so why only four stars? After the very first use of this product the metal flame spreader and grill distorted quite badly in the heat. I contacted BioLite customer services and they told me that this can happen if the BioLite Stove is set to the 'high' fan setting rather than the 'low' setting. Using the high setting basically creates more heat than the Stove Grill can handle, thus causing the metal to warp. Biolite kindly offered to (and did) replace the distorted parts so I can't fault their customer service. That being said, there is no mention in the manual that using the high fan setting can damage the grill. Whilst it does say that a low fan setting is recommend, in actual fact is an important requirement as once the metal parts warp they no longer fit together. If you already own the Biolite Camp Stove then this product is a good investment - just don't use the high fan setting!!!

As the Biolite gets up to temp extremely quick, there is no waiting around like you need to do with a BBQ. I use this often when cooking chicken or steak, which gives a taste that just can't be replicated in the kitchen. Be aware, once used, it will never be 'shiney new' again.

I haven't used the grill yet but it appears well designed and compact. Quick dispatch.

Love the design of the tripod legs and fuel feeding in situ, but don't like the wide grill bars as things fall through too easily. Would prefer a cross hatch. Also wish they did a mini dome or dutch oven attachment for making bread and stuff !

Awesome bit of kit for the biolite 2 stove , grill steals , vegetables ect ...

I've grilled sausages, steaks and burgers in no time at all, I even use it on my veranda at home when grilling for two. any one want to buy a conventional BBQ? mines gathering dust.

2 Personnes oui, 3 ça deviens un peu plus compliquer mais quatre c'est carrément quelqu'un qui mange froid. Sinon ça marche bien.

Cómoda para llevar al campo es muy practica y fácil de instalar se la recomiendo para caminatas largas o para varios dias

The grill add-on is very useful if you like grilling like me, the food (from meat to vegetables) is cooked fast depending on the strength of the fire and for how many people you cook if it is just for 1-2 you can be done really fast. The grill attachment dose not lock! it is just placed on top of the BioLite camping stove so don't try and pick them up together. I would recommend this product if you own a BioLite Camping Stove and like grilling and grill food. I like that the cleaning is done pretty fast. I dislike the product materials, (don't get me wrong they are good and strong and wont be damaged fast.) but when i first used it it got that metallic purple stains from the heat that don't go off. This of course is only cosmetic and dose not effect the quality but for the price tag it would be nice if it was stainless steel or something.

The function of this grill is there and it grills very well. I would say that surface area of grill is good for 1-3 people group. If there would be 4 people or more then the surface area is not sufficient to grill efficiently. The big surprise is with "stainless"... which in reality is not really stainless... After cleaning the grill with sponges and dishwasher liquid + water... I was surprised to see my good amount of rust accumulate on all surface areas subject to heat. I had to scrub it down with wire brush one more and rub cooking oil all over the unit and then it was fine. In other words, similar techniques one would use on cast iron dutch oven. I am pretty sure that problem can be corrected by using more suitable type stainless steel to make the grill... 321 stainless steel comes to my mind.

Más grande de lo que me imaginaba se acopla fácil y bien a la estructura del BioLite. Tiene agujero para controlar el fuego y el guardado es fácil y rápido. Un buen accesorio para la BioLite.
