I picked this up to measure the exhaust temperature on my portable AC, and it’s been surprisingly accurate for such a low-cost tool. Readings change instantly when I move the laser from one surface to another, and it matched closely with my other thermometer. It handled the hot AC hose (around 90°F) just as well as cooler surfaces without lag.The LCD screen is bright and easy to read, even in low light thanks to the backlight. I like that it automatically holds the last reading when I release the trigger and shuts off on its own after a few seconds to save battery. It comes with AAA batteries in the box, so it’s ready to use right away.For the price, the value for money is excellent. It covers a huge range (-58℉ to 932℉), which means I can use it for way more than just my AC — like checking my grill, oven, or even insulation spots around the house. I'll first give my dig at this and that's the accuracy. It states that it is accurate to within +/-1.5C that equates to +/-2.7F. I found it to be fairly accurate. For me this isn't an issue as I only wanted a good reference and it doesn't need to be that accurate. So for this price point I'm not going to ding it for this. It's a good buy. All the other features are good, and it works as it should with a quick response on Temp readings. I will have numerous uses for this, and am happy I didn't have to spend a lot to get something that works good enough for what I need. Edit: I originally posted that the accuracy was fair but after more testing I was the one at fault. This thing actually has decent accuracy much to my surprise. I it seems to be very close to advertised accuracy. Great product for this price.

Very easy to use and initially set up. Results are repeatable and accurate. Comes with off brand batteries, but built well. Probably won’t pass the 6’ drop test on concrete though;-) Great price!

Works great. Way cheeper then buying from the big box stores. Long battery life. Easy to use, small size, feels comfortable in your hand.

I used a real expensive one at work. Always wanted one. The price was right and I'll take good care of it. I bowl and hear the best temperature for a bowling ball is 72 degrees. So I got this to measure my balls at the lanes. It's fast and small enough to fit in the bowling bag. Nice to have around the house and be in my tool collection. I now have an excuse if my ball is too cold or hot....LOL

This works well and is very easy to read. It reads both hot and cold temperatures and gives you a reading quickly. I needed one for my job to evaulate hot and cold items in convenience stores. It has been perfect and I haven't had any problems with it.

I use this for our blackstone and it seems to be pretty accurate. It works quick and has a very long battery life since it only gets used for a couple seconds at a time. It also feels sturdy in your hand and is easy to use.

This is a cool thing. I aim it and see the temperature on my flat top grill. It has come in very handy bc the griddle has different temperatures in different parts of the grill. Definitely keeps me from burning the food!
