Escher on Escher: Exploring the Infinite

What I expected and looked forward to - adds to my interest in the work of M C Escher. What I am really looking for now is the CD which I had (and which was taken (stolen!) from me which traced a lot of his ideas but also gave you an interactive tool to create your own tessellations of the types Escher used.

This book looks wonderful. I'm sure I will get much pleasure from it. Thank you.Now that I have been able to look more fully at it I love it. I cannot imagine how Escher could continue to create such amazing designs I have now bought several of his books and they give much pleasure.

I bought this for my wife who is taking a Fine Arts Degree and she finds it a very valuable help to her, so a definate 5 star buy.

Good book, good content.It would be much better if it were physically larger to allow for a larger font, hence 4 stars.

Essentially academic, dry-as-dust analysis which is short on illustration (which is ALL of Escher's work!).

very good book giving insight to Escher's thinking
