Useful in a small package - UK legal
Great quality, fabulous price - small size with enough tools to be useful without being overloaded with things you’ll never use - uk legal as the blade is small and doesn’t lock.

Small but perfectly formed
As an Electrician approaching retirement it's safe to say that over the last 47 years of working in the trade I can easily be described as being a toolaholic. I was always taught to have the right tool for the job and from day one of my apprenticeship I valued quality above all else. As they say, buy cheap, buy twice. I have purchased a good number of multi tools over the years, most of which have rarely if ever been used. And as retirement is looming my need to buy more tools is slowly diminishing but I couldn't resist buying this Grerber multi tool. It's small but looks to be excellent quality and can easily fit onto a keyring or in your pocket. You won't be pruning bushes with it or striping domestic sized cables but it is perfect for numerous little jobs and is extremely handy. I bought a small LED lenser torch at the same time, it's almost the same size as the Gerber and I keep both of them in my camera backpack. Highly recommend for small tasks and toolaholics.

Great little tool
I've had mine 8 years now and it's still on my keys looking battered but still in great working condition. The dime is tiny and as long as you realise you won't be doing anything heavy with it you'll find it useful. The pliers have come in handy and especially good for splinters! The blade is very think but again realise the limitations of a keyring tool and it's up to small tasks. The package opening tool is great and the bottle opener is great and sturdy. The scissors are the worst part of this cool little tool but I have to give it 5 stars as it's survived 8 years so far and works as well as the day I got it.So small you'll forget about it on your keys and super handy.Great product and if I lost mine I wouldn't hesitate to buy a replacement.

The blade is terrible, and I mean terrible
Firstly, let me start by saying that for the price this is a decent little multi-tool. However, when compared to a Victorinox minichamp (about £10 more) it is not in the same league. The inclusion of pliers is a plus in a tool of this size and they are of a decent quality. However the rest of the tools leave a lot to be desired. The blade is terrible, and I mean terrible. Soft steel which takes a poor edge and will require sharpening after opening a few packages. Drivers are decent but deploying them is a nail-breaking activity. Scissors blades are bowed and only meet at the tip. The fixed bottle opener is a brilliant idea and does not affect the pocketability. The design of the tool is awesome, but quality control is very much lacking. Still, for the money I would recommend this as a tool to chuck in a backpack or a car.

Great tool but terrible wire cutters.
I have been after a small keychain multi tool for a while, just something I can have on me at all times. Reading reviews online I was deciding between the Gerber Dime or the Leatherman Squirt. In the end I went for the Dime as the tools it has would suit my needs more. When it turned up I was very impressed with the Dime. It really is tiny and barely adds to the weight of my keys at all. Some of the tools are a bit stiff to get out but I'd rather that than them being loose, and the black finishing looked nice and felt hard wearing so first impressions were really good. I have been using it a few days and overall I am still impressed, but a few things have come up. Lots of the black coating on the handles has chipped off or worn down. Like I said, this is in a pocket with keys etc so it was to be expected, its just coming off a lot quicker than I expected. The coating on the tools seems to be holding up to use though. This isn't a major issue for me, but its something to bear in mind. The main problem I have is the wire cutters. I'm not an electrician but do quite often deal with wiring, even if its just simple things like re-wiring a plug. The wire cutters are utterly useless on anything other than the tiniest of wires, they just twist and make a mess of the cable rather than a nice clean cut like I would expect. If I need to cut a wire now, I just tend to go through it with the knife (which I should add is fantastic given its small size!). The pliers themselves are fine and seem strong enough for the size, I'm just really disappointed with the cutters. The rest of the tools are fine. The scissors are quite hard to use but that's a common thing with multi tools and the very skinny thumb pad. The file is also quite small but I do not use it. The screw drivers both work perfectly well and the packaging opener is also a treat to use and makes my life much easier. Not yet used the bottle opener but it seems strong enough and though it looks odd, it has not yet got in my way or caused an issue. Overall it does a good job. If it was to break I would consider buying it again, but would probably want to try out the Leatherman Squirt first. If the cutters on that are any better I would probably go for that instead as they would be one of my most used tools on these.

Perfect for carrying around with you
The Gerber 1014030 Multitool is a compact, versatile tool designed for everyday use. Its black oxide finish adds durability and a sleek appearance. It features a range of tools, including pliers, wire cutters, a knife, screwdrivers, and more, making it suitable for a variety of tasks. The build quality is solid, with a comfortable grip and a smooth mechanism for deploying tools. However, the tools can be stiff to open initially, and the lack of a locking mechanism on some tools may be a concern for safety. Overall, it’s a reliable and functional tool for light-duty tasks.

Very small, but absolutely superb, and looks great on a keychain!
These are absolutely superb. They're very small, though! From the images, it's hard to gauge scale, but when fully opened, it'll sit in the palm of your hand quite comfortably. This is a 'travel' fixing set. I keep the set in the car, and it gets used all the time. Despite the tiny size, it's huge on potential. It's been used to fix all sorts of things big and small with the car, as well as a little DIY and helping to build a shed. The metal is light, but rigid, although I would want to use a spanner to turn the screwdriver blade for fear of bending it.... As a high quality, great looking, compact tool set, I think you'd be hardpressed to get better, especially at this price point. works great as a keyfob too!
