-ROG Strix Hyperion Case Review-This is gonna be difficult so I am gonna break it down to pros and cons of different categories!<Durability/Size/Weight>Pros-It can hold 80K which is necessary cause it's 20.8KG base weight is heavier than you think!(I phoned asked why it hadn't arrived next thing I know it's here the next morning, amazon takes their credibility seriously though the rog box was a little beaten it's ok which segways to the next point)-It's a tank, like a DOOGIE S70 ..it's like the PC equiv rugged, sci-fi armor that reminds me of mechagodzilla... it reminds me of a quantum drive at least... some parts are plastic and weaker aluminium plated but it's got a re-enforced crossbar exoskeleton that short of a nuclear blast you might as well call indestructible! (I did find some of the plastic near the top panel on one side looked irregular but I think it needed clipping in I pressed it in it clicked and is now even and the gap is sealed)-Cooling... I underestimated this I haven't had a lot of testing but thus far with my [Ryzen 5 5600X] (that has artic esports DUO on it so that helps) my gpu [Strix 4070TI OC Edition] is still hitting 50C's but that's 10C degrees lower than before and my god the cpu I owe to the large fans at the front, In my old case I had to have the case open due to the gpu cable and cpu cooler blocking where the glass needed to be, so as you can imagine my cpu was also in the 60's range and occasionally would hit 70 depending on the game! Now on Shadow of Mordor I play with ULTRA settings at full native 4k (theres no dlss) with the enhanced textures dlc installed... and well the micro stutter is gone and instead of 66Celsius I am now getting a cool 35-43 Celsius and the reason I Thank the front fans is cause when they're going I stuck my hand it felt like It was out in the window, in a fridge or under an industrial air conditoner... I thought I'd need to buy more fans I don't the ones in it are sufficient for a 5600X at least it's now hitting that 4.65ghz and I dare say since i'm only in the 40's I've only see it hit 50celsius on star citizen i'd say I could probably push for at least 4.8ghz with the new case!-Size pro it is large so literally any modern hardware and any future hardware you can imagine is gonna fit in this even the rumoured RTX5000 GPU prototype doesn't reach the 460mm length this case can handle I hard room to put the collection card of the gpu alongside and the poweranger that used to hold up the case like atlas in the old one!-Cons lets start with the size cons cause theres more than one1.Top to bottom is an issue cables wont reach, don't try to use your old fan headers they don't fit newer pins for fans are thicker and often further apart so your back fan might as well be thrown away or sold to someone who wants a small upgrade (lets not make more e-waste)2. That top to bottom also comes with another issue and that's the gpu holder that I bought seperately... this is more of a motherboard issue which comes up twice on this set of issues the case both is and isn't designed for micro atx... yes the cables will reach if they're long enough and yes it all screws in and fits in, but the GPU is too high this means you need something centimetre cubed to go in between the holders highest setting and gpu itself! (but thankfully the invisible one built in does secure it to a degree but it makes the hercule x feel more like a showpiece)3. Another gpu to mb issue usually you will have with a micro itx in this case is if you secure the nails too high you can't reach the top hdmi port on a rog strix 4070ti oc edition you will not be able to fully get it into the port so you have to loosen the screw and let it sag a little at the nail end... i'm sure it can handle that lvl of stress since it's only slight unlevelness but it does make me uneasy!oh and for some reason they made a triangle shroud over the top right hand side of the gpu port so ofc the third DP port is completely blocked... i'll be fine in a new motherboard later as long as I use a secondary gpu slot that's lowered down, alternatively if you wanna fork out for a pcie4.0 cable your could have it vertically mounted it would also solve the issue but then if you bought the herculex gpu holder it will now just be an rgb paperweight!(not counting how difficult it is to use one on those tiny holes and no you can't use the screwdriver they give you for it handle is too wide for the case holes that give access on the corner because they put the screw holes inside the case)-Weight Con- if your an unbuilt nerd like me get your stepdad to help you get it upstairs it's a 2 person job, this is why we believe my delivery was a week late because they were probably finding someone to bring it solo, of course a cool polish dude didn't give a damn money is money... it came in an unmarked white work van so I assume they decided to send it a less traditional way to save some face!-Size Con- This is a behemoth I have an incredibly larger curve around art desk (it's my mothers she doesn't do crafts these days) and to provide the best temps and lack of dust I don't have it in the corner the part that curves out as you can see in the picture is the best place to put it, it makes access easier... but it's size can be a problem even putting it on it's side is a workout I found myself using the handles alot! When I set it down on it's side the handle bars went off the sides I didn't wanna crush wiring so I put it diagonally because this case is just so damn tall!<Design Pros>It maybe be sci-fi but your buying for function too theres a lot of function to go through here!- The rack in the top doesn't just fit large fans the parts that jut out are for 3 smaller ones, you take it out screw em on and slot it back in press down to click in place and secure with a thumb screw!-Theres front fans and the side has room for taking the LED block out and putting in some ssds and extra side fans if your running a hotter new cpu at 100C or something! also full support for rads theres plenty of youtube videos talking about that believe me I watched all of em before deciding to buy-Theres lots of space for cables an unbelievable amount of space, under the psu shroud atop at the sides everywhere you can hide cables anywhere even at the back of the LED panel where the space is for securing the extra fans the possibilities of cable arrangement are truly endless!-Panels.... WOW just WOW I can't destress how annoying ...it used to be on my old case the MSI vampiric 011c ryzen case having to try and press down the the case over the tightly fitted cables, I used to need my stepdad to hold the case while I slide on the lid so I don't end up pushing my whole pc off the table and making sure it slotted correctly on holes I couldn't see because the case was practically vanta black! The hinges have rod pins that slot into the case hinge holes and there you got a door and the best touch is both ends have a metal plate to avoid my greasy thumb prints being on the glass (though I was annoyed someone had removed the cover seal from the inside of the glass I know cause theres a mark of wear it used to be, the outside had them the insides of the glass didn't)they're a little heavy but managable to set em down and I'm not as weary about breaking them like my old glass panel that has no frame at all and was nailed in with thumb screws and shutting the doors is satisfying it feels like shutting a car door and sounds like it too (just don't use as much force as you would a car door it's not needed)!<design cons>can't think of too much!-doesn't support fitting for smaller motherboards might be better to get a longer one with at least 2 gpu slots but this is a top end case so I guess that's kinda my fault tbh i'm waiting till gen 2 of AM5 but the fact is they had the metal strips ride up that far and the slot for a motherboard so they should make outer plate at the back more suitable for the gpu area it shouldn't block any potential port areasno matter how ridiculous my gpu is for having that many in the first place this case is literally designed for this gen of rog gpu's it should of taking into account all potential port positions it's something you'd expect of a top range case based on functionality over style!- Don't keep the screws removed on the hidden tray for the screwdriver and screws (psu shroud cover)... they are not secure without em so advise keeping the hard drive bay in or putting in a piece of metal to erm replace the missing screw slot so it's supported and the shroud doesn't wiggle, wiggle or vibration is bad for a system with fans and a psu though built well who knows what a decade of vibrations could do!- backwards compatibility- while it does support alot of the old hardware smaller motherboard tends to be the biggest issue and so I reccomend do not skimp out on a asus a520m-k prime motherboard, there won't be enough slots for 2 of the USB 3.0 ports and the USB-C's won't have anything to slot into,The biggest issue I found though was a mini molex from the front panel labeled for motherboard this is meant to be the chassis to motherboard slot and without it you can't hook up your case and anything else hooked up to it of Fans, LED's won't be synced to aurora without it... I ended up folding my chassis slot pins on my A520m-k prime motherboard trying to put this on!so I removed the motherboard reset the pins and tried again and realised the pins on that motherboard are too large it's not intended for this motherboard I imagine a B550 rog wifi gaming or newer that can be found on amazon might have a slot that it does fit make sure your slotting it in the right place it will say CHASSIS all caps on the mb!-the back wire shroud panel- honestly not sure the point it does make it look cleaner but only when you open it up unless your gonna rgb the other side I am not sure I see the point and if you got embroidered cables then they are gonna cause you issues use the velcro straps to flatten and secure everything down you need to the gpu cables caused the biggest issue had to move em far to the right of the other wires just so I could screw in the rest!everything else has thumbscrews ease of access and hinges for easy removal i'd say the shroud in the back is the exception I found screwing screws in in a tube you can barely see to a screw hole in the back panel you can barely see reminiscent of the same issues I tried to avoid getting this new cause for supposed easy of access it's the one part I feel doesn't hold true to that mindset they had when making this case!and even if you can force it into the slots if a cables too thick (which is why I had to move it aside) then the plastic panel bends outwards and it stops the back glass panel from magnetizing shut!---------------------The delivery like I said was iffy I was supposed to wait 2 weeks for the friday and then it at some point stopped moving and didn't dispatch so I waited 3-4 days and well I called em kindly asked what was going on and said I might be away a while if it can't be done before December I will have to cancel and do the purchase next year(jury duty stuff can't go into details by law but it meant I could be indisposed in December unable to accept it's arrival) they said I'd get an email in 3 days telling me!It turned up the next day thinking maybe it was just the weight like I said this thing is meant to be carried by 2 people and no matter how strong you are a box of this size at that weight is gonna do some damage that will affect you in later life the dude who turned up didn't seem bothered by it I respect the polish work ethic but I think people just didn't wanna mess their backs up and I agree no one should of been sent to deliver it alone! But this guy wasn't in an amazon van I found a torn parcel force and various other stickers ripped off I just did standard delivery but I guess amazon wanted it sent express as quick as possible! They didn't screw in the LED panel in properly it was slid into the slots on the backplate on the left but not on the right it made me think the screwhole hadn't been placed high enough they prob thought the same it just needed to be pushed down with some force my stepdad saw to that i'm the screwdriver and when I need strength to do with pc's he's the hammer!in context the case alone my old msi ryzen case box fit inside the hyperons' Styrofoam slot that's how much bigger the new box was and my old ryzen case isn't small it's a mid-tower, I new the hyperion was big but unless you know a youtube reviewer in person you can't scale them and so comparing them to the case is like comparing a star in a different solar system and it's planet's size to ours with no point of reference for the distance or scaleIt's a behemoth, it more than does the job with it's fast charging usb-c ports i'm sorted for next gen external hdd's to store my raw videos for editing for youtube and gaming on em 20Gb/s is no joke my sibling has a new ssd and that only does 10 this case is built for the future for 6000 series rtx gpu's(or whatever they'll call their full path tracing gpu's in the future probably PTX though since theres a PTX official is pentatonix handle I can see legal problems maybe though I don't see nvidea releasing acapella anytime soon so that might be a non-issue)I gave a 4 out of 5 for ease of access due to the gpu slot motherboard issues and the screw issues with that and of course the cable shroud at the back panel side because it adds an extra annoying step, also advice maybe get a AIO reaching the top right hand corner screw slot for the mb is difficult with larger hands because they got a piece of metal that hangs at the front for a RadiatorI assume but it blocks that path and the side has little room had to tunnel my hand from the right hand side across the top to the back to get the screw in all while holding a torch with my chin & neck!Value for money I dunno I guess you get what you pay for it is top end but it is a pc case so of cause I have my gripes but hey I got it on a deal at £359.99 some places are selling it at £400 some at £500 technically it was only like £30 more than the helios case available when I realised that I was like £30 pounds more why go more than half way to come up short for a 7yr old case design when then one that just came out is that close!so I borrowed £60 that week and payed it back the next monday... my stepdad might think it's stupid and is keeping it to himself he doesn't always speak his mind, but I think he sees my logic of the potential this has for me in the future i'm not gonna need a new pc case for at least the next 10-15 years if i'm lucky maybe 20 years! In terms of technology and port support, in terms of durability this monster is giant and solid I can see it in the nuclear apocalypse meme alongside the Nokia surviving the shockwave only thing left standing it's glass might not survive the case panels might not even even survive but I bet ya that silver crossbar is...I think I finally get the case design though... it mimic's NVidia's crossbar design on their RTX 4000 series FE cards... tbh though it kinda seems dumb considering it's a rog case not an NVidia case cause ASUS's ROG Strix GPU's look nothing like Nvidia FE cards but I see the inspiration... perhaps it was just for architectural support giving a strong frame like exoskeleton!anyways I'd like to say here's my 2 cents but it cost me like £359.99 so here's my £360s about the case sorry it was a chapter even when I bullet point I can't but tangent no one ever said I was a man of few words!Don't by this case if you want cheap hardware in it, it makes no sense I plan on upgrading my motherboard and cpu and i'll be getting pcie 5.0 ram and nvme's because atm it's all bottlenecking my gpu by 15% I am gonna wait till 2025 though next year i'm saving for the star citizen expedition package cause it looks like they're making progress then the beyond headset (that I might need to buy an iphone for the face id tech as the heaset is custom made for me)after that i'm gonna upgrade my pc again in 2025 then i'll be good for a while but maybe down the line if I start making money from my youtube gaming channel I'll may get a rog strix 4090 down the line when they're cheaper! which will prob need some cpu that needs liquid cooling the case doesn't have a whole lot a space for liquid chamber cylinders and a 4090 but I can make it work!

Best case ever
I bought this case because it's bold , massive and quality. Build quality is great , airflow is awesome and the aura effects are a nice touch

Uneccessarily complicated
While it good for what it is the case I/O has both L/R connectors and hardly any MBs support that including ASUS themselves, I also would rather buy the case without fans.
