Unbeatable for the price
For someone building a new home of course a POE system would be the way to go. For someone renting or installing in an older home a wireless system in a better choice in most cases. I tried other wireless systems before purchasing this one on the advice of my son's in-laws who have one. I free-range chickens, ducks and turkeys on approximately 2 acres of land and this system was purchased primarily so I could keep an eye on them while I'm in my house or away from home. I already had electricity run to several spots for landscape lights and my outdoor kitchen so it worked out perfectly. The camera abilities amazed me compared to what I tried before. They work perfectly in the day and the night vision far exceeds the 100 feet quoted range. The sensitivity of the motion detectors might actually be a little too good. I have it turned down and I still get triggers from cars passing on a road 80-100 feet from the camera. I'll have to play with it a little more later. I just had my first problem when a power adapter went out. Support from Jooan has been excellent.

Excellent surveillance system
I was imopressed from the reviews i have read concerning this surveillance system (This expandable camera system that can support up to 8 cameras with FULL HD 1080P live stream). So i bought 2ea sets , one for my appartment and a second one for my country house. Both were that easy to be installed (i added a HDD in the one of the systems and was too easy to install it). Both systems are working perfectly and having crystal clear view. The price you pay ($169) is unbelievable for the quality you get. This is a great deal and is strogly recommended for anyone who is looking for a value for money premium quality expandable camera system

Very Happy
I purchased the JOOAN 8-Channel 3MP Wireless Security Camera System to replace a REOLINK 4 camera system. The REOLINK was hard to configure and I found the software very annoying. It was much less than "Plug & Play". I needed a larger system and the REOLINK could not be expanded for more cameras (the REOLINK was a 4 camera system). I brought the JOOAN 8-Channel after comparing several systems on the market and found the JOOAN, for the price, was the only system that would record audio, very important for me. When I received the JOOAN I found it to be VERY easy to configure and use. The performance is excellent. I did have problems with one camera which was intermittent but the seller sent me a follow-up email to ask me what I thought of the system and we discussed the camera problem. He replaced the camera, no questions asked. I am very happy to have found this seller. No muss, no fuss, just straight up satisfaction. I would recommend buying from this seller again in the future.

Not worth the money.
Purchased for home security. Decent picture and night vision. Picks up sound. Worked great right out the box. About a month in, cameras go in and out. The stamp will not stay in line with actual time. Change it and it makes its way back off track everytime. The cameras have not been moved changed or tampered with since installed. As mentioned they worked awesome at first. Didn't get to install them right away but they've been installed for about 6 weeks now. For the last 3 weeks not one day have all cameras stayed on and recording. Always atleast one that is off or unable to stay connected. I've tried to reach out for the advertising said that they would always be available for support, I get nothing. Get no support, hung up on twice. Main answer i get is its after 30 days so returns are not acceptable. This was a 300 dollar surveillance set. I'd expect them to last properly for atleast a whole year. Thats being very lenient. They should last for atleast 3 to 5 years no problems. Its not even been three months. Becoming to be common for alot of products purchased here. Thanks amazon for another wasted sum of money. If I had to purchase again, 50 bucks would be the value. Not 300.

Finally installed this and MUCH better than Nest
Ive been pushing off ordering these for a while, since I have 2 nest cameras. But now that I have I'm glad to finally cut nest off and not have the fear that my home video is out on the Internet since I cannot control where nest is recorded. The install itself is fairly easy, all you have to do is find power, the Wi-Fi works perfect all the cameras stay connected all the time and the video quality is much better considering nest is only 1080P. As far as software is concerned it is fairly basic, but it gets the job done. I may end up pushing for 4K later but for the price point these definitely do their job much better than 1080P. 4K costs almost triple the amount this does so I'm not sure if that cost is justified. Night vision surprisingly works very well with these, I was a little bit nervous considering this is an off brand I've never heard of before. But I was pleasantly surprised.

Very Good Customer Service and Tech Support
Having worked in the electronics industry for 44 years it doesn’t surprise me that, occasionally, a piece of equipment fails after a few months of service. Many manufacturers know this problem all too well, that is why electronic items are sold with a warranty period. BUT trying to obtain a warrant replacement can be trying, - making phone calls, lengthy “on hold” waits, shipping the defective item back to the manufacturer and waiting. One of the cameras with my Jooan 8 camera security system failed after a few months, so I used Jooan’s EMAIL address to advise them of the problem. I received an email reply within 24 hours with advise for troubleshooting the defective camera. Both Jooan and I determined the the camera was indeed defective. I received a replacement camera from Jooan in less than a week, with NO NEED to return the defective camera. I find that Jooan’s customer service is extraordinary, - unusual in this day in age, and much appreciated.

I am very impressed for the quality of the product, especially when considering cheap the product is. I haven't done much with the more advanced features but I have tried a number of things, in particular the things that folks complain that don't work (which they all worked). So here are a few observations: Jooan support has been nothing short of excellent. In my case, Catherine has been answering all of my emails. The camera system arrived with a broken hinge pin on one of the antennae, so Jooan found a way to replace it from Amazon stock instead of me waiting for a shipment from China. And the tech support has been quite quick and accurate. Overall, I give them top marks on all aspects so far. The manual is pretty decent but where it is not clear I was able to get answers from their tech support. I have it set up to record 24/7 on all cameras. I watched my hard drive as it filled and I estimate that the files take about 4.2 GB / day / camera. This is pretty close to what Jooan replied in the questions, so this was no surprise. Picture quality is quite good. Yes it records sound. I am using an old small TV as a monitor and in monitor mode it has sound on any single channel but all channels are recording sound. I can select which camera is monitoring sound on my monitor, or I can mute them all (but it is still recording). There is a volume control on the settings and it adjusts the gain on the microphone, so if it is turned right down then nothing is recorded. It is not the greatest sound quality but it is a nice feature. On my current setting I can hear crow caws, and louder sounds. I can also hear louder talking. I was able to copy recordings to a USB memory stick following the instructions. It was easy, and showed progress during the copying process. It was a bit on the slow side but it does work, and isn't particularly hard to do. So I think complaints that this feature doesn't work are probably from folks that have not followed the instructions. I haven't fooled around with the alarm (motion detection) settings but looked at them. There is a lot of tweaking that can be done on this, so when I have more time I do plan to play with that. But FYI - for each camera you can turn on or off areas of the field of view and the grid is fairly small, so it does look like you can eliminate quite a few "false positives". There is also a sensitivity setting of high, medium and low. Playback is a bit of pain. It would be nice if we could fast forward more than 8x. So if I need to find something in particular it is quicker to copy the file and look for it on my PC. Wireless range is not an issue. I have a camera in my garage (through 2 walls and about 50 feet away) and I have full signal strength. Night vision is very good. Learned that the infra red lights are like a flashlight so issues are: - reflections make night recording useless if recording from inside pointing outside through a window - tree branches close to the camera can cause the branches to be very bright, which the camera adjusts picture darkness so the rest of the field is quite darkened. But those issues would be the same for all the other cameras out there. I have not downloaded the android app, and am not using it on my phone. I did, however, put a password on the system. I am sure that I am forgetting a few things but my overall conclusion is that you can't go wrong buying this system. I am glad I bought the Jooan system instead of the others available at the same pricing.

I have placed this camera system for my friends and it was so good, I had to buy the new version for myself. It is REALLY easy to install and it is mostly plug-n-play. This product is at a lower price than all the competitors if you own Amazon Prime. The seller really cares about your experience and if you encounter any problems, Jooan is there for you! ♥ ------TIPS----- This is a great stable system. It may not include an hard drive, but it is easy to purchase and set up with the instructions given. There is only 3 screws to open the box (NVR). The quality of the video is just as good as any other market security system and the night vision works great. I have placed the four cameras and they get automatically connected with the NVR. This whole system is plug and play which is the best camera system to get of you don't have any experience in security systems. I suggest that you plus the cameras beside the box when it is running so it all detects first and then you can install them, this will help the detection. You need to install the hard drive, plug the NVR on a TV with VGA or HDMI cable, plus the ethernet cable directly from the box and the router and set-up the cameras where you want. I suggest buying "DC Plug extension cords for CCTV". There is a WiFi function, but it is not that strong, so it is recommended that you plug it beside a router or extender. You can also use EseeCloud on Android or Ios and place your unique CloudID once it is connected in your network and have remote access anywhere of your system! Then once everything is set up, DO NOT FORGET to place the antennas of the NVR UP IN THE AIR because you will not see any cameras on the NVR. I have added photos of the camera system. Also, the NVR recording is blured out since I do not want to dox myself :) I hope this can help anyone setup this system and I really recommend these security cameras.

I bought this security system for use in my cafe. Cameras were already pre-paired, set up was pretty easy. Just needed to format the HD drive (which was purchased separately). Product definitely exceeded my expectations. Images are very clear. Video playback is also really intuitive as well (through motion detection). Customer support replies were very prompt and they were very eager to provide any assistance. Would definitely recommend.

I purchased two of these systems less that two years ago to replace my 10 year old cabled CCTV system. What a mistake, today the seventh [of eight] cameras just failed. When I first installed the devices all seemed well except the WiFi range was a bit limited but I got around the issue by using the repeater feature built into the cameras. Less than a year into ownership the cameras began to literally fall apart, the only one still functional is installed in my heated garage and has never been exposed to the elements or the sun [a bit of a disadvantage for outdoor cameras] The first NVR began using so much of my router bandwidth I replaced it with the second NVR. When that to began to hog bandwidth I disabled the LAN connection which meant that the time setting was lost every time the NVR did a reset [once a week] so locating a particular video clip was to say the least challenging. In all the years I owned the cabled system it never had an issue, it as replaced to get more modern features. I realize that WiFi security systems face obstacles that wired system do not but Jooan's issue is not only the wireless limitations but product quality as well. A security system is an investment that should last for many tears. The Jooan equipment is of low quality and will not survive for any reasonable time when exposed to outdoor conditions. If you want a good security system purchase a cabled [IP cameras now seem to be the best choice] from a quality supplier. Cheap plastic equipment will not survive the elements and they should only be used indoors.
