Really excellent book!
This is a masterpiece of educational documentation. Whilst not assuming any prior knowledge, it presents the information in a contextually logical form, without being in any way patronising, and without relying on prior technical knowledge.I have 50yrs experience as an amateur photographer, but found the Nikon official User Manual next to useless, and of very poor quality. This book, on the other hand, brought the camera to life for me. I cannot recommend it highly enough!

If you have a D7500 and you're no pro, read this!
I bought a D7500, basically because it had great reviews and fitted my budget. I took lots of photos and became disheartened quickly, it just didn't seem to be focussing right, using the flash when it should etc. I played with the settings and made some improvements but had to resort to "reading up".Dummies books have a reputation for being simple and that's exactly what I needed. I didn't need lessons in refraction, reflection, aperture and focal lengths, but I did want to know how to use this camera and get the most out of it. This book let me do exactly that.I learnt what the camera can do, how to do it and why you should do it. I'll probably only use about 20% of what this camera can do, but knowing what the other 80% is could be a real help.I love how things are explained, the supporting pictures and illustrations are really useful and the language used doesn't fog my brain.Great book!

Does exactly what it says on the cover
What can I say? It's an idiot's guide to a camera and it does that job really well.

Excellent
With only a non-formal amateur learn by experiment experience of an old SLR camera, and rather unsuccessful dabble with digital photography with a non-DSLR camera for a few years, and having recently got a new expensive rare breed of dog who wants to be insta-famous, and so needed good photos, then after a short amount of research while keeping an eye on budget, I purchased a Nikon D7500 and this for dummies book. The book has been an eye opener for me. It explained some of the things I had a vague idea about but didn't properly understand, and applies them to this specific camera. Working through the chapters I just had to keep putting the book down so I could go and try things out (oh I must try that ...) starting with full auto initially then progressing, slowly, to fully manual midway through chapter 4 when things started to click (with practice), and now I know how to take a great picture first time, every time. And there is still 2/3rds of the book to go and much more to learn.

This dummy found it very helpful
Just what I wanted, the type was big enough to see clearly, as the book you get with the camera was very small. It explained things clearly, with lots of photo's to show how to do things. So very pleased and would recommend it.
